This place was completely unassuming. We came here on a Thursday night, right before closing around 9-ish. There was no line, but there seemed to be some dance lessons happening at the front of the dining area, where it looked like there was an entire setup for live music and dancing! Later we found out that they do free public dance nights, how fun!
The customer service was nothing short of amazing, even for a takeout order. We were greeted quickly and they were extremely friendly and provided recommendations for first timers. They also encouraged us to go up front and learn some dance moves!
The food was quite delicious! The jerk chicken was tender, and had a punch. I feel like every Caribbean place does their jerk chicken differently but this one was quite good. Sweet, tangy and spicy, it was quite a combination of flavors! The oxtail was extremely tender as well, although the flavor was a little more mild and subdued. Maybe it was because we came around closing hours? Not sure, but the sides weren’t too bad as well! The rice was great, and the curried mashed potatoes went well with the roti. The Mac and cheese tasted a little typical, so nothing too out of the ordinary there.
Overall, the main dishes were delightful, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere of the restaurant came together and formed what I believe is a hidden gem in the Webster area

We went for a friend’s birthday and this place was amazing. The food was incredible and the atmosphere perfect. The best was meeting Lucian and hearing about his love for this place and his passion for making it feel like a home for all his customers. Lucian is a former Marine and I thanked him for his service – he has a wall dedicated to all service branches so I’m going to make this place one of my favorites. I love that he is a Liverpool FC fan like us, but he just loves futbol soccer and his decor shows it! Definitely coming back!

Food was Delicious! I was very impressed and given the fact that when I showed up there wasn’t any other customers there( don’t judge a book by its cover) this place surprised me! I loved it , just a chill low key place and thats exactly what I liked ! Super clean dining area.

Service was great, the vibes were great, and the food was amazing! I’d been craving Caribbean food for some time and was happy to find Lucian’s. We went in for lunch. The restaurant wasn’t busy around that time—just a few other tables filled with diners. The music was lovely. Caribbean music is always a pleasure to listen to.
I ordered an oxtail plate with macaroni pie, plantains, rice, and peas. My husband ordered curry shrimp with a salad, plantains, and white rice. Everything was delicious! To drink, we each ordered Sorrel, which was a little tangy because they add ginger to theirs. It was good, but not the best Sorrel I’ve had. I like mine without ginger.
Every third Saturday, they do a thing called Island Vibz that starts with Karaoke from 7-9, and live music from 9 pm – 1 am.

Miguel was our waiter and Lucian help serve. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Service was amazing. We visited 30 minutes before closing on a Thursday. And they still provided excellent service, hot food, and a wonderful atmosphere.
Appetizer:
The Sampler: We picked coconut shrimp- nice and crispy and still meaty with shrimp. The coconut flavor was distinct but not over powering, Onion Rings- he said twice how the onion rings were so good. The were crispy and tossed in this sweet and savory sauce. So good yall, Spring Rolls- I love some spring rolls and these were right through and through. I hate when my spring rolls are gushy on the inside but these were just right. Jerk Wings- nice and tender. The jerk sauce was good We would have liked for them to be more crispy and more of a smoky flavor .
Side of fries: Nice and crispy but soft on the inside. Lightly salted and served hot.
Entrees:
Oxtails plate: Oxtails fell right off the bone . They were seasoned well with a good flavor but not over seasoned. And trust me, I’ve had some that were over seasoned. Oh and they served a good amount of oxtails too! Sauteed Cabbage- Seasoned well with a nice crunch, Plaintain- I asked for mine to be brown. I like plantain but I love them when they are well well done. Rice and Peas- Now who can mess up rice and peas? Some people but not them! They had a nice taste, not bland at all.
Jerk Chicken Plate: Jerk Chicken- The jerk sauce was good. Meat was nice and tender and juicy. Again we wanted the meat to have a more smokey flavor. Now that’s just our preference and its not to take away from how good it was , Rice and Peas- like stated uptop they had a nice flavor, not bland at all, Macaroni Pie- definitely macky! Had a nice flavor to it. Not cheesy but still good!, Cabbage – stated like before, seasoned well with a nice crunch.
Juice:
Mango Juice- Good. Not too sweet
Passion Fruit- Good. Sweet and tangy
Togo: Another order of Oxtails, Cabbage and rice and peas

Had a great experience at Lucian Caribbean Grill. The food was incredibly tasty and authentic, and the service was both kind and timely—we weren’t waiting long at all. I really enjoyed the decor; it’s unique and nice to see, though it felt a bit gloomy/dark inside. Overall, the flavors and the friendly staff make this a place I definitely recommend!

This has been a favorite of mine for a while now so if you like Caribbean food the way that I do, this is definitely a must try. I’ve always been excited to have them here as we don’t have a lot of representation of the Caribbean in Galveston county or entering into Harris county. It’s nice to have them 15 minutes down the road for convenience so I do not have to drive deep into Houston to find outstanding Caribbean food. A few of my favorites are the stewed chicken, the oxtails, the chicken and gravy and of course all, and I do mean all of the sides are delicious. They also offer homemade Caribbean drinks which are must as well. They have a variety from ginger to strawberry lemonade! The food is always hot and flavorful. They will not disappoint so definitely give them a try!

Pretty good local spot for Caribbean food staff was very friendly! The beef patties were great, jerk chicken was sweet and spicy. Cabbage could have been cooked a bit more, and wasn’t a huge fan of the powder inside the roti (although the portion was huge!) But overall a good experience and would recommend!

Ordered curry chicken patties, beef patties, and curry goat. The patties were good with a nice flaky soft bread but I definitely prefer the curry chicken patties over the beef. It was my first time ever trying patties and I didn’t expect the beef to be so grounded. They had a smooshy texture and I ended up just removing a lot of it because I really enjoyed the bread and having only a little bit of it inside.
The curry goat was very tender and tasted good but it was kinda salty. The red beans and rice were good too. It only came with like 2-3 plantains, so order extra if you really like plantains.
Overall, I would eat there again to try different dishes and get the curry chicken patties.

I would say pretty decent spot for West Indian food. Their patties were fresh and really tasty. I would certainly recommend the chicken curry Patty as well as the beef patty. The sauces were fire probably my most Favorite thing from all of the things we ordered. Our meal ended up being a bit expensive than what we had initially anticipated purely because of the drinks we got CMOS which my husband loves and it turns out that each bottle is at least $10 so keep an eye out on that but other than that the service was good I ordered roti chicken which was honestly a pretty large portion and I had to pack that up. My husband got oxtail because he loves oxtail. The size was decent. The taste was decent however the rice and peas portion size and like the plantains seemed a bit small, but overall it was you know definitely worth a try and strong four.
