The egusi and fufu I had in Arizona was a lot different.The egusi wasn’t terrible. It wasn’t for my palate. My daughter wanted to try egusi. She didn’t touch her plate much. She was able to check that off her bucket list.

Ubuntu Cuisine & African Restaurant is hands down one of the best African food spots I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the egusi and the goat pepper soup, and babyyyy… it was EVERYTHING.
The egusi was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned not bland at all, and the texture was on point. You can tell it was cooked with real care and traditional flavor. The portion size was generous and super satisfying.
Now let’s talk about that goat pepper soup… WOW. It was spicy, comforting, and packed with deep flavor. The goat meat was tender and cooked perfectly, and the broth had that authentic pepper soup taste that warms your soul.
Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and authentic, and the service was great too. If you’re looking for real African food that tastes like it came straight from someone’s kitchen, this is the place.

Staff was super friendly. Food was a 10 out of 10. I had the egusi soup with chicken and fufu. I also got the jollof rice with beef. Amazing and flavorful. I will be definitely be going back again.

Must try place. We loved it. The portions are big, so be ready to stuff yourself or bring some back home (by the way they’ll put your leftovers in the to go boxes for you). Totally recommend the Joloff rice and goat meat, but the chicken is good too. Their seasoning is great. If you like spices this is the place to go. Spicy too, but on the side for those that are more sensitive which is great. The service is great: friendly and welcoming. Also there’s a bit of a wait for the meals to come out but that means your food is freshly made. We will definitely be back.

The food is full of flavor! I really enjoyed the meat pie, chicken, rice and vegetable rice. I gave it less stars because it was a long wait time, it seemed like they didn’t have enough staff for the amount of people they were serving. They also just served everything on disposable plates. Limited drink selection, with good choices.

What a terrible experience. I don’t know why there are so many good reviews but the food was really bad, the chicken and beef were dry and the fish was burnt and when I told the waitress about the fish she didn’t seem happy. I took the fish home but didn’t know what to do with it. My kid looked online for similar dishes and he saw that this restaurant had good reviews so we came here to try it. If you don’t believe me, try ordering one dish first. Don’t be like me, I ordered 3 dishes at once and he wasn’t satisfied. It was a waste of money and time.
