Absolutely fantastic old school bar. Friendly patrons and a friendly owner. It is a great place to hang out and have a few beers. Lots of history; the building turns 100 this year. Cash only and no food, so be prepared. I will definitely come back here.

Bar is cool, I always loved old bars. I worked for the Grand Trunk Western Railroad and went in there years ago, moved down here a few years back, and I thought I’d stop in and reminisce a little bit, I sure didn’t get that warm fuzzy feeling walking in! Lol
My Mom and Dad both owned bars in Bay City Michigan, so I know how things should be…. If you sit down, shut up, and drink your drink I imagine you would be fine, if that’s what you want to do.

I’d never seen this place in my life but when I saw it I knew I had to drop in.
I came in through the front door, had a seat at the bar and got two things immediately: a friendly greeting and a cold beer.
Flatscreens had sports on, NASCAR and Lion’s football (it was Sunday after all), with a few regulars watching the action.
I finished my beer, had another, then it was time to go. Turns out the owner was at the bar as well. He shook my hand, asked me where I was from, then pronounced me a Sidetrack regular. (He also said his regulars use the side entrance, not the front door, so out the side door I went. )

Bar we have driven past a few times. Stopped in tonight after dinner out for our anniversary and husbands bday. Had a total freaking blast! They make you feel at home even being there with a bunch of regulars. Will totally go back! Our new favorite bar to stop at!! Thank you guys for a great night!

This was our second time visiting. It’s been a year or more since we first stopped. I really want to say the owners are fantastic. Wonderful service. Great conservation. We are definitely going to make them a regular stop this summer when we are out for our weekend rides.

If you want a unique old school local bar experience this year is it. Family owned. Friendly. Laid back. If you want trendy drinks and craft beers this is not it. As the owner said, “This is a shot and a beer kind of place.” One on tap selection: Busch Light. Do try through Fireball Whiskey with ginger ale. Delish.
