Ate here on Sunday during the Columbus Day celebrations. My wife and I split the chicken parm spring rolls and also the pappardelle bolognese. I loved the noodles, cooked just right. I thought the rolls and the bolognese needed more flavor.

It’s a nicely decorated place and our waiter was great. We enjoyed the experience and would recommend it.

There are few things better than a pappare handmade pasta dish

We DEVOURED 2 pasta dishes, an app, and about all the wine they had in the cellar. Everything was perfectly balanced nothing was overpowering. I will say this place stands up to every other spot in the north end. Reasonable prices, delicious food, just what you would expect for Italian in this area 10/10!!

Went on a Saturday afternoon around 1–2 pm and there were plenty of open tables with no wait. The casarecce was cooked perfectly al dente with great texture, and the sausage and sauce were flavorful without being overly salty. bread was served warm with grated cheese and olive oil.

Would come back.

Had a fantastic dinner with the family. Our waiter, Phillip, was excellent and very attentive. The food was very good. We had 3 different appetizers and in our party of 10, we all had a different dish. My spaghetti bolognese (I know boring) was awesome! I really like their sauce. Tangy, but not overly so much. Just a nice tomato based sauce. The bolognese sauce was amazing too. Pasta was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh! We were super happy!! Again, the service was impeccable!! Would highly recommend!!

We had a big party, including two young children, that was easily accommodated. Service was wonderful and timely. Food was loved by the whole party! Highly recommend the dessert. Atmosphere was the usual North End Italian vibe. Not a complaint in sight. We will definitely be back.

I stopped by this Italian restaurant in Boston’s North End and it quickly felt like a cozy, classic spot for dinner. The dining room has a warm and elegant vibe, with large windows looking out onto Hanover Street, which adds a lively neighborhood feel to the meal.

I ordered one of their pasta dishes, and it really stood out. The pasta tasted fresh and rich, which makes sense because the restaurant prepares handmade pasta on-site every day, including pappardelle, gnocchi, and ravioli.

The menu focuses on traditional Italian comfort dishes like pappardelle Bolognese, spaghetti meatballs, carbonara, and seafood pasta, along with classic appetizers like calamari and bruschetta.

The atmosphere felt relaxed but still a bit upscale—perfect for a casual dinner, date night, or a nice meal after exploring the North End.

Overall: Pappare Ristorante & Bar is a great place to enjoy homemade pasta and traditional Italian flavors in one of Boston’s most famous food neighborhoods.

I cannot overstate how much I enjoyed my visit to Pappare Ristornate & Bar. Everything I tasted was just amazing and it is not something I will soon forget. In particular I loved the gnocchi pesto. It quite literally melted in my mouth and I savored every single bite. In that moment it felt like it was me and that gnocchi against the world. I also got to try the Chicken Parm Spring Rolls, Porcini mushroom ravioli plus the tiramisu and chocolate lava cake for dessert and I was NOT disappointed. The lava cake was so rich and it was perfect to top everything off.

The food was absolutely top notch but it would be a disservice to not mention how beautiful the restaurant itself was. Wonderful location and lots of natural light upstairs. The staff was incredible and just made the experience. They had lovely suggestions and they always made sure that we had what we needed throughout the course of our meal.

I would recommend anyone try Pappare Ristornate & Bar whether it be for a night out on the town or a lunch with friends. You will leave with full and happy bellies and a wish to visit again soon.

Fresh made pasta. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Nice place for lunch while you walk the freedom trail. Price is moderate but you get what you pay for! I would eat here again for sure. My friend had the Veal and he said it was excellent. I had pasta and it was very good. The meat sauce was very flavorful also.

Such a great place! Me and my mom and my sister went to check this place out and we fell in love. The waitress was super friendly and kind and everything was very fresh. The tomato sauce was perfect and it tasted just like a Sunday dinner with family. I really liked how the pasta was al dente and not mushy like some restaurants do it. Great place, definitely underrated. I highly recommend the gnocchi amatriciana as you get the flavors of tomato, mozzarella, and the pancetta cooked to perfection.

I’d like to add that we originally had reservations for this place (I recommend getting reservations for any restaurant in north end as they fill up quick!) but there was still no wait and we got seated immediately. There is not much of a choice for parking because it’s such a busy area, but make sure you’re aware of where you park or try to take an uber or taxi.
