Great addition to the neighborhood. I was looking for a good pizza shop near by and Frankies popped up at the right time.
The pizza is large New York style. There are red sauce and white sauce options and you can buy them in slices. My favorite is the red sauce with pepperoni and sausage. The pie is thin and light but it holds up well with all the toppings. The dough is a little chewy and the crust is puffy, similar to a sourdough bread. The sauce feels like it was made fresh with tomatoes. There’s a good amount of cheese on the pie. The pepperoni has a good chewy texture, I wish the pies would be covered in it. Sausage crumbs are well seasoned.
They are made quickly once you order, usually takes about 15-20mins. You can call in for pick up orders.
The space is nice and clean with casual seatings. The shop is still working to add the final touches to the space.

So excited to finally have GOOD pizza in the neighborhood! Their sourdough crust is great and the bottoms are sturdy with the perfect chew. Inside, there are 2 tables seating 4 and about 6 high top seats at the window. Hopefully they add more seating but it still looks like they’re getting settled in the new space. Plain slice is $4 and all the specialty slices ranged from $5-$5.75. Cannoli was $5 which is a little steep but it was filled fresh and was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Just tried this spot that opened recently and really enjoyed it. The Diablo was our favorite since we both love spicy food, and it had a solid kick without being too much. The crust had that proper Neapolitan char, and everything tasted fresh. We also tried the Margherita, which was great, though personally I’d love an option for a few fresh basil leaves added after it comes out of the oven. The Pepperoni was great as well and I loved that it wasn’t too too salty like usual Pepperonis elsewherez For the neighborhood, the pricing feels great for the quality. Definitely planning to come back and try more pizzas!

These guys were slinging pies in a food truck in LIC before opening up this spot in Hunter’s Point.

Absolutely delicious NY slice and Neapolitan Margarita pies. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!!

went to their soft opening yesterday, very good pepperoni pizza (the fact that it is all pork like pepperoni should be is amazing) and the cannoli was incredible too! will be back to try their regular offerings

This slice shop is special. Sourdough crust was so amazing. The marinara slice with burrata is my favorite slice in all of NYC right now.

I miss the pizza truck. Their NY style pizza is good but Neapolitan pizza is just so rare to get.. now they only make it on Mondays and Tuesdays for some weird reason.

I’ve gone twice and both times their slices selection is very minimal so you’re either stuck with their minimal slice options or ordering a massive NY pie. I miss their personal pies ☹️

Because the minimal options, we asked the staff if there’s any pies that are about to come out and they said no then but <10 minutes had 2 pies comes fresh and hot from the oven. Not sure why they couldn’t just tell us.

I wish they’d go back to offering their old menu. I will say their cheese slice was really good!

Due to how recently it opened, I wanted to give it some time before leaving a review. I’ve been to Frankie’s probably 6-8 times since it opened, including the night of its soft opening. Before it opened, I was really hoping that it would either be better or cheaper than the existing local options, especially given how conveniently located it is for me.

The pizza itself is pretty good.. wouldn’t call it the best in the neighborhood but definitely decent. However, the prices by the slice are honestly pretty ridiculous and just don’t really make sense. The prices have also gone up already in the short time that Frankie’s has been open.

In my opinion, the only thing on the menu that is worth it is the personal pies, but those are only served on Mondays and Tuesdays. It’s hard to justify spending $12 on 2 slices when you can buy a personal pizza for $10-$12.

I do hope that at some point I’ll choose this over other options, but for the time being, I don’t think I can.
