Came across this place while down in Chula Vista on a random Sunday and very thankful I did. It’s a small classic style restaurant that doesn’t disappoint.
Ordered the California burrito per recommendation of the girl who served me.
While waiting for the burrito she brought me chips & salsa free of charge.
Once the burrito came out, I was shocked to see the size of it. It was huge!! Upon my first bite I could tell this was a homemade style joint as the flavor was super clean unlike most mass produced places out there nowadays. The carne asada was extremely tender and tasty. The cheese, fries, pico de gallo and guacamole were also very fresh tasting. Not sure how I did it, but I at the whole thing which had to be 12-13 inches long!!
Absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy comfort and great homestyle food!!!!

I will be coming back! The music was a vibe walking in. We enjoyed some coffee. The carne asada and eggs hit the spot. My wife enjoyed the green chilaquiles, and is excited to try the mole chilaquiles next time. We also got pancakes to share and I do not regret it! Everything was perfect. Amazing service and the food was made with love.

The albondiga soup is very good! It comes full of albondigas and vegetables unlike other places that give you mostly broth. The toppings like cilantro and onion are also included, they just didnt come out in the pic.

The albóndigas are really good. We added some mint and serrano pepper, it was delicious . The menudo is good, best in the area. The salsa is amazing. Oh! The flan my favorite, only $7.99. Friendly staff and fast service… We also bought carne asada fries, not my son’s favorite, but fresh.

First of all the habanero sauce is blended with a tomato which brings it’s kick down a bit, so its great for everyone. I had the Mar y Tierra burrito which was extremely good everything was cooked to perfection except the shrimp which could be reduced a minute as it will cook in the steam of the burrito before it’s cut. All in all the menu looked classical but if everything is done to my burritos quality I am sure it will impress.

El Huevo Estrellado is back at a new location in Chula Vista. They are located now in the corner for Broadway and E street. Today I ordered an omelette and huevos rancheros and both were as tasty as I remember. So glad they are back for dine-in (outside and takeout). Highly recommended.
OLDER REVIEW: We have tried to order at the restaurant during the pandemic with no success. There is a recording when dialing their phone number that says the number changed but doesn’t say what that number is. Also noticed their “El Huevo Estrellado” signs have been removed and all windows are covered. I will be so sad if they are permanently closed. Hopefully this is only temporary.

My friend recommended this place not so long ago. My mom and I decided to give it a try and found that it is actually very good. We tried once a basic breakfast and another time a full lunch of carne asada. The location is hidden. I don’t know how many times I have driven by without ever paying any attention.

I wanted to provide some feedback on my recent visit to your restaurant. I had ordered the banh mi special, Vietnamese coffee, and two Che 3 màu. The banh mi was good; however, I felt that it could have been a bit warmer. The Vietnamese coffee was strong and delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As for the Che 3 màu, I would rate it an 8 out of 10.
Overall, I would give the food a rating of 4 stars, while your service and atmosphere both deserve a rating of 5 stars. I understand that your restaurant is relatively new, so I believe that with time, there will be further improvements.
