Amazing Kosher Israeli food Great staff! Great owner, who came out to greet us and make us feel welcomed. Steak Shwarma, Chicken Shwarma, and Arayes are delicious and served in huge portions enough to take home. Lafas and Pitas delicious. Babka loaf from Israel was good. The desert Qatayef was delectable. Similar to a sweet empanada but better. The prices were reasonable for Great quality and kosher.

I didn’t understand Ami “Shuk to Table” vs Ami “Jerusalem Street Food” until I walked into this new location for lunch on Tuesday.
This location on Central in HP, adjacent to Shaevitz butcher shop, is Kosher. I do not keep Kosher so the certification or supervision or whatever doesn’t matter to me, but it does mean the provisions are different and thus the prices are a bit as well.
The ingredients are a bit more straightforward than the other Ami location. I ordered a chicken shawarma pita and only had to make minor modifications, where the other location I can’t really have any of the added components due to food sensitivities. It was delicious and ready quickly. But as the kashrut isn’t critical to me, paying nearly $30 for a sandwich, fries, drink may not be practical all that often. This explains to me why the other location continues to operate. When this level of quality and the certification are required, Ami is there with lovely dishes, sides, snacks, and desserts.
The service in the restaurant was very attentive and friendly. I noticed Ami was there when I arrived and thought maybe everyone was on good behavior, but he was not visibly there when I left, so I think he’s just hired well and everyone should feel comfortable dining in or takeaway.

Absolutely delicious!!! A huge menu that is very accommodating to various allergies. Everything is dairy free and almost the entire menu is also gluten free. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the service is amazing. This place is a local gem and I highly recommend that you try it.
