So I came over here recently over the weekend I was looking for this type of dominican fried chicken in my neighborhood because I didn’t want to go all the way to dyckman in new york city!I was buying this food to make this charcuterie tik tok thing for my brother in laws birthday !they are American Italian so I wanted to show of this food from my country !point of the matter is they live in south jersey and it was gonna be 2 hours away !so I was getting the largest portion they have of the chicken I think it was 14 pieces and I see a sign in front of me on the counter that says I can get the chicken with either fries ,tostones ,maduros or the rice of the day (except for locrio)
So I tell the lady since im going far I would the chaufa rice .she tells me that they use to do it like that but not anymore ,at first im understanding but then right behind her in bigger letters on the TV screen the message about the chicken sides goes on t.v menu !so like any other person I tell her I would like what says in the sign ,so I would like the chuafa rice she tells no !I tell her thats false advertisement and I told her she should call a manager !she does and the lady on the phone says that chaufa rice is considered locrio !so she can’t give it to me!but im dominican also and I know chaufa is dominican fried rice not locrio wich is like made with locrio of chicken locrio of pork locrio de chuleta aumada locrio de salami see none of those things are fried rice !so I told the lady how about the maduros and they try to deter me by telling me I had to wait for them !so I changed my order to 9 pieces of chicken instead I got fries even though I knew they weren’t gonna be good after I reheated in the oven and I still bought a medium chaufa rice wich is dominican fried rice NOT locrio so again the food was good but the service was bad I dont think im coming back maybe they could’ve accommodated me and tell me next time we can’t give you the chuafa I would’ve been cool but just the blatant response of telling me chaufa is locrio is what did it for me like I work in the restaurant industry and I wouldn’t lie to a customer because I have false advertising
