The burger was an average burger with above average amount of bacon! I liked the crinkle fries, but no so much the chili sauce. Too sweet for my liking. But my girl loved her float and the ice cream is very good so we will definitely return. Great scenery to eat as well

A true treasure! Situated on the Beautiful Ohio River, with very nice outdoor seating. Multiple shelters and tables and parking with views if you wish to eat in the comfort of your car. The staff is very friendly and the food is awesome.

Great place for a relaxing meal and some great ice cream. Building is decorated with paintings on the outside of riverboats and old muscle cars. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is prepared quite quickly and is packaged considerately. All dining areas are outdoor picnic tables. There are covered shelters and benches. Amazing views of the Ohio river. Barges pass on the river within 200 feet of you awesome to watch.

I consider the Jug to be a must-visit in the Mid-Ohio Valley. The ice cream, together with the view of the river, is a combination I hope everyone gets to experience. Sunset is always the best time to visit; from the open-air seating, you are often greeted with a stunning summer sunset draped over the Ohio river and, if you’re lucky, boats of all sizes passing by. The food is standard for a dairy bar and perfect for a fun evening with friends or family. All of the ice cream is good, but I’m partial to the hot fudge milkshake.

I recently visited The Jug Restaurant and decided to try their ice cream first—and I’m so glad I did! I got strawberry ice cream with pineapple chunks on top, and it was absolutely delicious. The ice cream was creamy and full of fresh strawberry flavor, and the pineapple added the perfect amount of sweetness and tang. The portion size was great, and the presentation was nice too.
If you’re looking for a sweet treat, I highly recommend stopping by The Jug. I’ll definitely be back to try more!
