I recommend Dulces Delicias with no reservations and will certainly be ordering from them again! I ordered a 10inch cake for my baby shower and was so incredibly pleased with the result!! It was one of the best cakes I’ve had in a long time and also very reasonably priced!! We went with a tres leches-like base with dulce de leche filling (I know it sounds rich, but for a Brazilian mama-to-be with a sweet tooth, it was simply divine!!) They also did a great job replicating my reference for a naked cake, which may seem simple, but is not always easy to accomplish.

I searched on Google for Pan de muerto and this place came up. I never find any so I called them. They said they had just made a fresh batch so I visited right away and I was super happy to have found a Mexican Bakery! With authentic Mexican sweet bread, candy, ice cream, coffee, cakes, sodas, juice, and even piñatas and folkloric dresses! It’s a very rare find in northern Virginia let alone Falls Church or Tyson’s. They were super friendly and I was able to chat with them about our culture. The coffee was excellent and their bread was amazing! I will be recommending this place to all my Mexican friends and family.

Excellent service and even better cake! I called with a last minute, semi convoluted request for a gender reveal cake and the baker delivered exactly what I wanted. Annnd multiple guests asked where I got the cake from and noted “it was the best cake I’ve had.” The attached pictures do not do the cake justice. It was beautiful.

Everyone raved about how good the cake was, and how it wasn’t too sweet. I got a tres leches cake and although I usually like my cakes a little more wet, I can’t complain because it was still delicious. When I got to the bakery, my cake wasn’t ready yet however I let it go considering I asked for the cake with just a 24- hour notice and I appreciated that they contacted me to let me know they were running a bit behind. The decorations was exactly how I asked it to be and the flavor of the cake was great! (Left photo what I asked for, right photo: what I received, cake toppers were my own)

Placed an order 4 days before my wife’s birthday. On the day of I arrived to the store which was super clean and organized and saw it sitting there behind the glass counter in all its glory. The baker had made it light purple and added a nice touch of paper butterflies which I didn’t ask for but appreciated.
I was greeted by a man and then a woman who I later found out were a husband and wife duo. They informed me they just opened the bakery 3 months ago. They were extremely friendly and asked if the cake looked okay. I told them it was amazing!
Later that night when my wife and sister in law has the chance to try the cake they both said it was one of the best tres leches cakes they’ve ever had and was the highlight dish of the night (we had a meal at a fancy restaurant a few hours before).
Skeptical as always I tried it and needless to say I agreed. It was light, moist, and not overwhelming sweet as most sweets I’ve had. The icing was a light whipped cream unlike the sugary stuff you get from most bakeries. The cake as previously mentioned was moist, soaked In tres leches. The addition of fresh strawberries with a tres leches custard in the center was a nice touch. A bit of acidity and vibrancy.
My mother in law had a chance to try it the day after and she was raving about it too.
I’ll be back (said on terminator voice).
I saw the other baked goods and the paletas (popsicles) that I want to try.

I’m incredibly impressed with the cake I bought for my brother’s birthday. They literally made it for me in just 30 minutes. It looked fantastic, but most importantly, it tasted amazing. This is the first cake we’ve ever completely finished! It wasn’t too sweet—just right. I’ll definitely be returning anytime I need a cake.
