Chewy, Gummy steak!! Find another taco place!

Came here for a Steak Torta and the total was $9.

There is no display of prices, so you do not know price till it’s ready. The staff was not friendly, didn’t ask for name on order or let me know how long it would take. Very minimal interaction

There is no drinks, advised to go in the store and buy a drink there.
There is outdoor seating.

The torta was a disaster. It was very large and not cut in half, I’ll know to ask if I come back. The steak meat itself was so bad.. I have a picture of my first bite , I didn’t chew I just knew the sec it was in my mouth it was a BIG NO. (viewer discretion advised) very gummy/no meat- looks like the clear, jelly, fatty part of the meat.
There was maybe 3 pieces of shredded lettuce and a tomato? Beautiful bread, but nonetheless a bad experience.

Oh, almost forgot to mention, as I was standing & waiting on my order I could see 4 large plastic clear containers holding what seems like already precooked steak, no ice, no fridge- just chilling on the counter for who knows how long. I assume my torta meat came from there. I knew I should have just walked away seeing that. I honestly feel like I’ve said enough, I have to say I am sad I lost $9 to what I thought would be a great torta from the reviews… but this is a big no. Never again.

All though there was fat chunks on my barbacoa, i wish they had given me more protein and less fat. It’s outside of the store there. So is better to leave the car running so you have ac. Nice little food truck with lovely ladies.

Chas, our buddy John, and I were doing a BBQ competition in Apopka, Florida and we had been eating BBQ for weeks leading into the event trying to perfect our entries. We could have eaten more BBQ or fired up a grill and cooked nearly anything, but we simply could not bring ourselves to do it. Enter El Brazero. This was a very busy taco truck near the event site, and we simply had to find out why.

I went alone to order lunch and decided to go with a trio of tacos. Went with the Al Pastor, Pollo, and I was very intrigued by the Barbacoa tongue. I had not had tongue in a long time and unless its prepared properly, its trash. The 10 total tacos came to roughly $22 so there was zero complaints on the price. This is authentic Mexican food, not some taco bell value menu.

The order came with a few homemade sauces like Verde and hot sauce wrapped up in plastic wrap like little purses of flavor. They were all very tasty.

The Pollo taco was quite good. Solid seasoned flavor and very juicy. The Al Pastor was as good as any I’ve had in the past. Very good flavor from the pineapple and the guajillo! The Barbacoa though was easily my favorite. They nailed the tongue so well. It was super tender and flavorful. Tongue when done right is almost like eating tenderloin…and this was all right there.

No frills, No problem. Definitely call ahead, especially if you are going around lunch time. There were a ton of people here waiting for orders and they were moving pretty quick in the truck to keep up. No doubt about it though, for Authentic Mexican food at this cost…it is worth the wait.

They had much more than just tacos here and next time i’m in the area you better believe i’m swinging back through and checking them out again! El Brazero Food Truck in Apopka, Florida – Didn’t Suck!

After 19 years of dedicated service, our mother has officially parted ways (Fired) with El Brazero. We want to take this moment to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported her over the years — and to those who will continue to support us as we begin this new chapter.

While we are disappointed by the circumstances, especially from an establishment that prides itself on being a “family,” we hold no resentment — only appreciation for the memories and lessons learned.

For nearly two decades, our mother stood beside our late aunt, serving food at the soccer fields in Tavares and working tirelessly at Scorpion Night Club on weekends. Her commitment, passion, and love for the community never wavered.

As we move forward, our goal is to continue honoring the legacy of our aunt — serving food with the same care, warmth, and dedication that customers have come to know and love. We invite you to join us on this journey.

Follow us on our new Facebook page: Las Zacatecas Rodriguez. We’ll be sharing updates soon about our grand opening and new location.

Thank you for being a part of the last 19 years. We’re excited for what’s ahead, and we hope to share it with you.

First time here and I have to say this place is amazing. I had the steak(azada) burrito and pork(al pastor) tacos and the meat is so flavorful and tender. The portions are perfect and the staff was amazing as well.

Absolutely delicious. Steak burritos and tacos are phenomenal. Friendly people and food comes out fast. Line gets long for the lunch rush so a good tip is to call ahead. They’ll have it ready for you and it will be hot!

It’s hard to believe, but I have been eating here since 2001 or so! I was stuck here waiting for a tow truck and grabbed some lunch while I waited. I think I got 3 steak tacos and a steak gordita that 1st time and I have probably visited them hundreds of times since! I absolutely love everything they offer. The food is fresh made, homemade, authentic Mexican food made by the same few ladies that made my 1st few tacos. They feel like friends/ family to me and I’ll drive out of my way to get myself a few tacos, a gordita or a burrito that could easily feed 2, but it’s mine, all mine, get your own
