This is a cafe, not a restaurant, I am not sure why Google is treating it like a restaurant. It is a very nice cafe with great coffee and home made pastries with smoothies and teas, with a very nice atmosphere. Check it out for yourself. Personally, I loved it.

We were on a hike up Mountain Road when we entered Montclair Village and discovered Paddington Cafe! They have DELICIOUS coffee and outstanding desserts and cookies. They’re famous for their homemade ruggalach and muffins. The cafe has very comfortable chairs so it’s easy to want to relax here for hours!

So great to have a truly independent cafe like this in Montclair. I usually get either an americano or a drip coffee, and the prices are very reasonable. Thank you Paddington Cafe. Also, the owner is a fascinating person, she is a decorated veteran and some of her insignia are on the walls.

Burnt, stale self-serve coffee, and the ugliest slop of an acai bowl (for $15!?) I’ve ever been served. Peach Danish looked nice, but was also rather flavorless and a bit stale. The service was okay, but not great. Looks like a cute hangout spot, but $25 for 3 items including undrinkable large coffee? (I asked and they let me toss it and takeaway a single espresso instead, which I took home and with my own milk steamer turned into a semi-decent cappuccino)… 2 stars at best, and I won’t be back.**
(**Note: years ago when it was Nellys I’d had similar awful experience including worse customer service and swore never to return. Back in the area for a few weeks, this was their big chance to woo me and change my mind. Ugh. GROSS carafe coffee, seriously. Thumbs down for Paddington.)

Friendly staff/owners in this cute community cafe. Got a dirty chai and vegetarian spinach croissant that had a bit of tomato/pesto flavor, yum! Decent wifi, though it can be sometimes unstable.

These little pastries are amazing. And for a great cause.

Love the bowls here! The family owned vibe is great and welcoming. I loved hearing the owners story of being in the service. Her awards are hanging proudly on the walls.

Family owned cafe that is very much part of its community. Regulars and the owners greeted each other by first name. Close to Montclair Park so it’s popular after paddle sports or softball. Very popular with cyclists too – nine were outside when we are there.

Super good local grown coffee, and the owner was really friendly and sweet to talk to.
