Right outside the San Luis Obispo Airport. Plane and pilot architecture all over. Outside seating overlooking the airport and runway, but I chose to sit inside on kind of a sweltering day.
Very friendly staff, great ambience and good food. I had a Pastrami Sandwich with Homemade Potato Chips, terrific. Loads of meat spiced perfectly. Marble Rye bread was delicious.

The ambiance decor with the nearby airplanes creates the excitement of traveling in a casual dining experience.

However, this place can be noisy or very loud while an aircraft is taking off or landing. Especially, when you are having a conversation with someone.

This airport restaurant mainly offers breakfast, burgers, and sandwiches.

Since it is just next to the airport it might be busy sometimes. The price is also a little higher than regular restaurants. However, the runway view is something you cannot get at other places.

Great location with a awesome airport runway view. Great fly in restaurant. Park the plane right in front of it.
Let’s start with the food was excellent, average to high price for breakfast. I do recommend.
Now as far as service goes it was terrible. Got sat down quick, but waited a while to even get coffee than another awhile to get the order in, unless we asked for coffee refills they would not come around topping it off. Than we had to ask about the status of our food order. It was a 1:15 min from when we sat down to get our food. If you like airplanes this is a great place to go.

Fantastic menu, a choice for everyone. Pilots this location is easy parking, good food that comes fairly quickly. My issue was getting back out to my plane, no code! Had to wait so long for management to let us out. They blamed it on TSA regs. Hundreds of airports this is my first time with this inconvenience.
Food, staff, atmosphere fantastic. Worth it despite the need to hunt down the manager in a busy restaurant to let you back out to the tarmac.

I know it’s a holiday, but the waitress service was awful. Don’t grab a plate from the kitchen and stop to chat with folks on the way to brining someone their food that they’ve been waiting more than 30 minutes for. It’s an interesting place to eat (at an airport) but for a small restaurant, the waitress and hostess appeared not to be on the same page. The cook has a role in the delayed service too. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was oddly dry on the outside but really wet on the inside. My bacon was soggy, not crispy. Safe to say I’ll never return here again.

This restaurant at SLO Airport has great food at reasonable (for an airport) prices. It helped pass the time during my 8 hour stay at SLO Airport. Due to mechanical issues with the plane, the American Airlines flight I was booked on was delayed until another plane arrived to replace it. So, I had about 4 more hours to kill before my flight left.
The Spirit of San Luis was a short walk from the terminal, and definitely worth it.

First time coming here. Flew in from Van Nuys. The transient parking is right at the base of the tower and the restaurant is a 2 minute walk at most. The gate will take you up to the ramp. I got the patty melt, great, lots of fries. Service was fast and friendly. Someone from the restaurant has to let you out to your airplane as they don’t give you the code to get out the gate.

Always excellent food and service. The views are incredible too. If you love aviation, you’ll enjoy watching the planes take off and land, as you enjoy your meal.

Our favorite spot for a family friendly Saturday or Sunday brunch in SLO! One of SLO’s long standing restaurant gems that boasts a very unique setting right next to the SLO Airport runway. Highly recommend either of their covered patios for best runway views, although there isn’t a bad spot in this entire establishment.

We absolutely love their famous streusel topped coffee cake as a starter to go with our coffee’s. I tend to order the eggs benedict which is always stellar, whereas my wife will get the fried fish wrap closer to lunch time and raves about it. They have a small bar that serves up bottomless mimosas on weekends as well.

This place is flooded with more regulars than just about any SLO establishment we’ve been to which tells you everything you need to know. Their service is some of the nicest and friendliest we’ve received in the county and explains all the long-time regulars. Extra kudos for the TV monitors that display the upcoming departure and arrival flights into/out of SBP airport. It was fun to follow the board when celebrating our niece’s birthday brunch here a few months ago.

Can’t wait to continue to go here for years to come and try the BBQ brisket for dinner, have heard great things!

Good breakfast food. The servers were attentive, polite and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. We watched the planes landing and taking off while we were there. Mimosas were tasty too
