Very friendly staff, great ambience and good food. I had a Pastrami Sandwich with Homemade Potato Chips, terrific. Loads of meat spiced perfectly. Marble Rye bread was delicious.
However, this place can be noisy or very loud while an aircraft is taking off or landing. Especially, when you are having a conversation with someone.
This airport restaurant mainly offers breakfast, burgers, and sandwiches.
Since it is just next to the airport it might be busy sometimes. The price is also a little higher than regular restaurants. However, the runway view is something you cannot get at other places.
Let’s start with the food was excellent, average to high price for breakfast. I do recommend.
Now as far as service goes it was terrible. Got sat down quick, but waited a while to even get coffee than another awhile to get the order in, unless we asked for coffee refills they would not come around topping it off. Than we had to ask about the status of our food order. It was a 1:15 min from when we sat down to get our food. If you like airplanes this is a great place to go.
Food, staff, atmosphere fantastic. Worth it despite the need to hunt down the manager in a busy restaurant to let you back out to the tarmac.
The Spirit of San Luis was a short walk from the terminal, and definitely worth it.
We absolutely love their famous streusel topped coffee cake as a starter to go with our coffee’s. I tend to order the eggs benedict which is always stellar, whereas my wife will get the fried fish wrap closer to lunch time and raves about it. They have a small bar that serves up bottomless mimosas on weekends as well.
This place is flooded with more regulars than just about any SLO establishment we’ve been to which tells you everything you need to know. Their service is some of the nicest and friendliest we’ve received in the county and explains all the long-time regulars. Extra kudos for the TV monitors that display the upcoming departure and arrival flights into/out of SBP airport. It was fun to follow the board when celebrating our niece’s birthday brunch here a few months ago.
Can’t wait to continue to go here for years to come and try the BBQ brisket for dinner, have heard great things!
