This was my second time at Pho 90’s, and I still really like the place. It is located in a quiet corner of Civic Drive in Filinvest (in front of Festival Mall Alabang).

The pho is really good. The staff recommended the Hue Style Beef Pho (#8 on the menu) on my first visit. I ordered it with fried spring rolls and loved it so much that I ordered the same meal again on my second visit. Their milk coffee is also very good and a must try.

The owner is Vietnamese, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The place feels cozy and comfortable whether you are dining alone or with someone. It can get busy during lunch time. They are open from 8AM – 8PM. When I visited yesterday, the air conditioning was not on yet since the weather was cool.

The prices are affordable, and you can enjoy pho and side dishes for under 500 pesos. It is worth it, and I will definitely come back to try their papaya salad and banh mi next time.

Authentic Vietnamese food! Not very wide selection of menu but staple food/must try are all there. No fancy anything, just an authentic place to try Vietnamese food. Serving is also good for sharing. Service is okay and quick. But since not a formal resto, there would be some banter at times with the owner and the staff.

Place is quite small — 7tables with 4 seats each so if there may be wait time if you will go on peak hours — lunch time, usually.

But definitely will be back to try other dishes. 🙂

This was, hands down, the best Vietnamese food we’ve ever tried so far. Makes me want to go to Vietnam all the more!

Pho 90s is proof that, indeed, less is more. The flavors weren’t too bold, but you just know it’s there. There’s a kind of subtlety that makes the food kinda mysterious and magical at the same time. At a glance, everything looks so simple– the place, the vibe, the food, but when you put them together, it’s such a beautiful, beautiful experience.

Here’s a rundown of what we ordered:

FRIED SPRING ROLLS (P150)
Flavor bomb. There’s something about it that I just couldn’t figure out– the wrapper looked usual, but it doesn’t taste the same as your usual lumpia. I’ve tried several Vietnamese spring rolls before, but this one definitely stands out. Everything came together, and it tasted amazing even without dipping sauce.

PAPAYA SALAD (P350)
The staff warned us that the serving was huge, and true enough, it was. I’m not a huge fan of local papaya salads, so I was kinda hesitant to try, but this one is way different from our atchara. Lol. Again, the simplicity of the dish left me in awe. Their vinaigrette isn’t too sour, but it highlights all the vegetables in it. The pork was very tender; however, I did not enjoy the shrimp that much because I felt it was a bit rubbery for my liking.

SIGNATURE BEEF PHO (P280)
This is the epitome of less is more. There wasn’t anything eccentric in it. It was beef pho, plain and simple, but there’s a certain fragrance in the broth that would hook you. It didn’t taste artificial and too beefy, which was great, and the beef was tender. The pho tasted so clean and warm, and it felt like a nice hug.

BANH MI BEEF (P170)
Of course, it’s different than any other banh mis I’ve tried, but this one kinda lacked luster compared to the other dishes we ordered. It felt like the beef wasn’t there, and the veggies tasted like the papaya salad, which, to me, is a bit repetitive. I wish we had ordered the egg variant, but it was too late before we realized this. Will definitely try that another time!

DUMPLING NOODLE (P280)
The broth was rich and flavorful, but again, it didn’t taste artificial. I liked that they provided sauces that could be mixed with the broth that gave the dish quite a variation. The dumplings were soft and juicy, and there wasn’t anything in them that was too bold compared to other cuisines that offer the same dish.

VIETNAMESE LEMON TEA (P100)
I was expecting it to taste like any other iced tea, but it wasn’t too sugary. It was refreshing, but it was served with a lot of crushed ice, so medyo mabilis tumabang and bitin.

We absolutely, 1,000%, loved the dining experience here. I also appreciate that they do not have an extensive menu, which gives them the energy to focus on their specialties. My only concern, I guess, is the ventilation. I mean, the restaurant is airconditioned, but I think it might need better exhaust outlets kasi nag-amoy pagkain talaga kami after. Haha! But that’s fine!

Will definitely come back and recommend this to others. Thank you for existing.

This hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant is a must try for anyone craving legit Vietnamese food! The owners are Vietnamese so you can be sure that the tastes are authentic. The Pho is refreshing and a must try during these cold holiday season, well to be honest every dish we tried is refreshing. What definitely caught our attention is the price, it’s hard to find restaurants who offer budget friendly prices that serves remarkable food!

I 100% recommend this place!

Probably the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever tried. Granted there aren’t many but their Pho is definitely better than the ones you find in chain restaurants in malls. Plus it’s so much cheaper compared to those!

The owner is Vietnamese and is always smiling and greeting customers so that’s a plus. The servers are also nice enough to explain anything you ask about the food if you’re unfamiliar.

My only complaint was the broken AC but as of July 2025, their AC has been fixed.

Beef Rice Noodle(Beef Pho) was just as delicious as the one I had in Vietnam. It was amazing how, despite not being Vietnamese, they were able to achieve such a level of flavor with so much practice.

The bun cha served was different from the authentic Vietnamese version. I think it should be called bibim guksu. Nevertheless, the bibim guksu was delicious, with a sweet and sour flavor.

Authentic bun cha is made by mincing meat into 3-5cm rounds and grilling it over charcoal. Bun cha consists of rice noodles in a sweet broth, topped with grilled charcoal-grilled beef, like a garnish.

The food we ordered was served quickly, and the Vietnamese-style milk coffee was delicious, rich and sweet.

Probably one of the best Vietnamese food I ate here in NCR. Everything tastes like how I remember it with my trip in Hanoi half a year ago, minus of course the gargantuan amount of vegetables (but lol, we’re in ph what do we expect right). Even the vibe looks like the small restaurants you’d see in Vietnam. Both the cooks speak Vietnamese (I’m assuming they are!), no wonder the food tastes so good!

I recommend the rice noodle dish and pair it with meatballs. Also get their Bahn Mi (beef), paired it with the sweet sauce (the orange one), and it just hits the spot.
