Got stuck in traffic and decided to get dinner and wait. Ordered the mini BBQ chicken plate with toss salad. Good size chicken and salad. Very tasty. This was my first time to L&L in Aiea. Wish they had a better entrance from the parking lot . Fast service ,and clean restaurant.

Old school L&L joint.
It’s L&L, we all know we crave it occasionally and it’s fast food fried goodness.
This particular location is old school but that’s good, the portion is HUGE so very generous with the chicken, owner provides plenty of katsu sauce and it’s like when you get Maccas overseas, you also get L&L as done right it tastes the same as when you remember it from your teenage heydays.
Get double mac salad as it’s delicious. I’d rather more Mac salad than rice.
It’s great food court fried food as a treat once in a while and the food is Ono !!
Like I said, it’s a treat. It’s not everyday food but I enjoyed it as I only buy it infrequently, so the fried goodness was just what I wanted that day and my goodness they provide generous portions at this location !!

Got the mini Teri beef with brown rice and Mac. Plus a side salad. The salad was fresh and not expensive at around 4$. Mini plate was not stingy with the meat. Brown rice was fresh, not overcooked. The meat had had a couple bites with hard gristle that could not be eaten. This knocks from 5-4 stars. Was pleased overall. Asked for Siracha and pepper. At 11.99 the mini plate is a fine alternative to the neighboring panda express’ offerings.

Me and my family ordered ginger chicken, loco moco, and the chicken katsu; ginger chicken came out slimy and smelled odd especially with it being a little frozen and tasting sour. Meanwhile the loco moco looked fine but it came out smelling and tasting very bad, the chicken katsu was alright.

What is this world coming to when L&L Barbecue Pearlridge delivers exceptionally POOR service, LOUSY food, and BAD ATTITUDE. It seemed all 3 workers were lost with blank expressions on their faces.
It started with using the L&L app. No one seemed to know how it worked or could help with it. My wife was trying to use the welcome free food coupon, but no one at this restaurant knew how it worked. I had to figure it out myself. So anyway, to get the free welcome gift you have to order a meal first. I couldn’t find Barbecue Chicken on the app so I ordered a dish that I enjoy almost as much as Barbecue Chicken and that was the Garlic chicken. I ordered toss salad, not mac and brown rice.
I watched as people came after me, got their food and left. I went up twice and my plate was still not ready. After about 20 minutes and watching too many people order after me and get their food, my plate was finally ready.
I brought it back to the table, opened up the plate and bam, mac salad. First big mistake. But I was hungry so I decided to eat some of the garlic chicken first. Bam, NO taste, not even a hint of garlic. In fact, it couldn’t even pass as fried chicken. NO flavor!! So, I took the plate back and asked for a refund. I asked for a supervisor, but the girl who seemed to be in charge said there was none there. And then she said something to the effect that they couldn’t give me a refund because of the app. Huhh??? What an awful experience!
I’ll be contacting L&L Corporate to see if someone can make this right. Stay tuned. Update: Changing overall stars to 4 since corporate came through. My wife got her free musube, lol. They offered more, but I declined. I can only hope now that when we go back to the Pearlridge store since not all stores are using the app, we’ll have a much better experience.

I’m used to going to the L&L at waipahu town center. So coming here I expected the same garlic shrimp and food quality. But the shrimp still had the poop line and the Mac salad was very sour. Poor quality food compared to its other franchise in wapahu. It was disgusting I don’t know how to post the pictures I took with to add to this review.

This is my favorite L & L because you can get half and half plates such as loco moco or hamburger steak mix plate with either chicken katsu or garlic chicken. The hamburger patty is tasty and also their Mac salad taste the best to me! I usually eat the Garlic chicken (salty) version so that it’s the dry one. It’s very tasty! The food here is among my favorite for plate lunches. The staff are also are very nice especially the owner/manager man who works there. Very friendly and accommodating!

I like this place because the food comes out fast and the prices are reasonable. It’s not the food network award winning food but when you are hungry it will do. The place is clean and there’s lots of places to sit inside or out. There’s usually parking available but you may have to park a little farther in the lot when it gets busy. The selection of food is pretty good and it resembles Chinese food more than just local food. Whatever the case is usually good anyway. I go here when I am really hungry.
