First time at this location. Same fantastic food and service. Our waiter Carlos was very friendly and helpful. My spouse had the chili relleno and a burrito grande and a margarita that he said was the best he ever had. I had chicken fajitas and a beer. It was very good.

My family and I ate here after a recommendation from the hotel we stayed at while traveling. I’ve eaten at many Mexican restaurants, and this by far was the best. Great service, friendly employees, and the best Mexican food I have experienced. Highly recommend!!

They now have an extensive alcohol menu. My shrimp burrito and House Margarita were both excellent. The churros and sopapallas with ice cream were tasty with great crunch. My date also enjoyed her chicken fajitas and her house margarita and tastes of the desserts. We’ve spent 1.5 months in Mexico and this was up there in flavor. We’ll be back.

Stopped in for dinner takeout after ball fields – very typical “American” Tex-Mex food, mild use of spices which is probably appealing to more palates’ in the area, heavy on cheeses and sour cream-Restaurant was clean, wait staff were pleasant. I was surprised at the wait for takeout on a Thursday night, even after ordering on the road, I had to wait. Perhaps if in the area again we will make a stop for lunch, will likely ask for a bit more seasoning and fewer creamy toppings. Iceberg lettuce in tacos is not my “go to” – I was told cilantro- basic ingredient was in the tacos- I didn’t see any or taste any-There were a lot of families having dinner so it is clearly a popular place for families to enjoy together which is nice. Fairly convenient off I-81.

I have been here a few times every meal ive had was delicious great portion sizes. Friendly staff. Only improvement still is when you enter restaurant you wait to be seated as theres a line for checkout. Theres only 1 person handling both. They need a better process when you arrive.

I had to run to Ship to pick up something with my kids and everyone was hungry. My daughter wanted Mexican and El Mariachi was nearby. The place wasn’t busy and we were seated right away. We ordered drinks and they came out relatively quickly, but my soda was flat. The salsa was good, but the chips seemed stale. I ordered the Steak Street Tacos, my son the kids taco with rice and my daughter the kids enchilada and rice. The good took a while and our drinks were empty. The refills came eventually for me, but I had to say something so they would fill my daughters. My tacos weren’t bad, but the sauce that came with it wasn’t good. I much prefer the traditional red or green sauce. My daughter ate 1 bite of the enchilada and barely any rice. She didn’t like it at all. My son ate his taco, but he said the rice was the worst he ever had. The only thing I could recommend from this visit is the Street Tacos.

Outstanding results is what you will find here at El Mariachi. I travel for a living, and always seem to end up taking an 1-2hr detour to or from my destination, to ensure the safe quality of food served to me. I will go no where else. Thank for the delicious margaritas too!

Went to Shippensburg for a concert and chose El Mariachi to eat at. It has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Once seated, our waiter was quickly at the table. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Arroz con Pollo and my wife the Tacos de Pollo Asado. I will definitely go back next time in town.

If you like delicious Mexican food, quick and attentive service, and reasonable prices, this is your place. I got the Fajitas Mariachi for dinner after a long day of construction work and I’m not gonna lie, I came to dominate some dinner. But El Mariachi got the upper hand this time and dominated my appetite, with plenty of leftovers to spare. They brought me so much food, I thought it must be my dinner and my two friend’s dinners as well! The carnitas are top notch, and the meat was brought to the table literally sizzling on a cast iron platter. Bad to the bone. The place was probably half full when we were seated, and we probably had our food 5 minutes after we ordered. Great service! Can’t wait to come back here again next time I’m in town!
