Earlier today, I purchased a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich and was appalled to find that the egg and cheese were covered in visible green and dark mold.

I immediately contacted the store manager, Katina, to report the issue. While I was refunded for the order, I was disappointed by the lack of urgency and accountability in her response. She offered a half-hearted apology and asked that I return the sandwich—which I did—but upon doing so, she refused to open the bag or inspect the food herself.

As someone responsible for food safety and customer well-being, I expected a more serious response and swift corrective action. This lack of engagement raises significant health and safety concerns.

I strongly urge Panera Bread management and corporate leadership to investigate this incident promptly and take appropriate measures to ensure this does not happen again.

I recently visited the Panera Bread location in downtown Indianapolis and was extremely disappointed with my experience. I ordered the Street Corn Soup in a bread bowl, expecting something flavorful and satisfying. Unfortunately, what I received was anything but. The soup was incredibly bland, lacking any real seasoning or depth. The texture was generic, and the overall flavor was forgettable at best. Honestly, I’ve had better soup straight from a can at the grocery store—and those cost a fraction of what I paid here.

Speaking of price, this small portion of soup cost nearly $10. For that kind of money, you expect something with quality and flavor. Instead, it felt like I was paying for a name rather than a good meal. The bread bowl itself was okay, but nothing could save the disappointing soup inside it.

It’s sad to say, but this Panera location just isn’t what it used to be. Five years ago, you could count on fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and solid value. That’s clearly no longer the case. I won’t be returning anytime soon, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a warm, comforting meal. Extremely underwhelming and not worth the money.

We went to Panera downtown tonight with a large group of ladies traveling from Georgia for a conference, and after a long day we were both exhausted and hungry. The customer service we received from Rico truly made our evening. He truly was a blessing! His friendly smile, extraordinary patience, and genuine kindness turned a simple meal into a blessing. We can’t thank him enough for the way he served us so well, and we pray abundant blessings over his life!

Placed my order ahead of time 11:45 for a 12:30 pick up. Order was a half salad and soup. Almost 30 mins after the pick up time did i get my food. I talked to the woman passing out the food and she said they only had 1 salad line. At this point other orders in the queue were getting filled before mine. Note to self no salad – they are always backed up at lunch but that was ridiculous. Also a place that has half the menu as salad should maybe have more than one person working the salads. ALL orders that were salads easily took twice as long and they can be made ahead so that doesn’t make sense to me.

We came down with a group of ladies who traveled all the way from Columbus, GA for a women’s conference. We came to Panera a few minutes before closing since it was one of the few places with quick service that was still open.
Rico was awesome!! The absolute best! Not only did he continue taking orders for us he continued making them as well. He stayed after closing and was so patient and kind the entire time! He even offered us some pastries we got to take with us! It was truly a blessing for us! PANERA, PROMOTE THIS MAN!!

Love me a broccoli cheese bread bowl! Stopped in before heading to the airport to eat lunch and get some work done. It is inside a building so less busy that other paneras I’ve been to on the past. Was a nice place to work for a few hours, and coffee refills didn’t hurt!

Rico is such a nice and welcoming employee. He made our night unforgettable. Definitely recommend having him nominated for employee of the month and even manager. That boy is a true blessing. Panera needs more employees like him. Thank you Rico!

I love a bread bowl with broccoli and cheddar soup. No problem there. Ordering myself on the keypad is fine, but cheapens the experience. Not many people in this restaurant however it is a little difficult to find on like the second and a half floor or something.

I’m not sure what’s happening in downtown Indianapolis, but this restaurant may be suffering from the lack of humans. Hopefully things improve.
