This was my 1st time here, and unfortunately, my last. The service was magnificent. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, but the food I ordered to go was a disappointment. Salad shrimp was used for the snack/dinner plates and it wasn’t appetizing. My pic of the “grilled shrimp” speaks for itself

If you go here make sure to try the fried chicken. We went here last year and it’s been a running joke about “that chicken” because of how great it was. Definitely the best food in town by far. Great service too

The staff was very friendly, and food tasted great! The price for buffet was $10.50, but didn’t include drink or dessert, but a excellent price for endless helpings! The inside of the restaurant is smaller then expected and could use some redecorating. My group decided on the buffet ( you can order from the menu also). Fewer choices on the main bar : fried chicken, corn, mashed potatoes, squash, goulash, hash brown casserole, rice and gravy, and another vegetable, if I remember correctly, but there were more options on salad bar, which was included in buffet price.
I’m not sure if the menu stays the same on the buffet every day of the week. The menu in the front indicated different specials for Friday and Saturday night. The restaurant serves breakfast also. If your hungry and passing through Hemingway, I suggest you stop and enjoy some Southern Comfort food and friendly atmosphere!

Of the restaurant choices in Hemingway, this was a better one. All styrofoam cups and plates as many do, but the food and service were good. I will go back in the future.

Great lunch. Best hamburger I’ve had in years … cooked to perfection. Also, you have to try the sweet potato fries … they were perfect. Good food at very reasonable prices.

Ordered scallops they turned out to be marbles. Didn’t know there was a difference between bay scallops and sea scallops until after meal came. Waitress told me. Food bar is always chicken. Where’s the beef?

Shrimp scallops and oysters. Were fried to hard. I paid 25$ for seafood platter and couldn’t eat it. The best thing on the plate was the baked potato….. really dissatisfied.
