We’ve been wanting to try Aretha Frankensteins for some time and finally pulled the trigger for a birthday breakfast on a Sunday, and wow- it did not disappoint!
First of all, their famous pancakes are absolutely massive and a MUST in addition to whatever else your heart desires. Fluffy, golden, and thiccc, they definitely live up to the hype.
The biscuits are handmade in-house, and you can easily tell. They’re buttery, soft, melt in your mouth, and want to fall a part at every bite.
Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The atmosphere, the flavors, and the generous portions make it the perfect spot for a large party.
We will definitely be back!

Excellent Food, Service, Atmosphere!! Highly recommended, large portions , everything was delicious, coffees were great also! Lunch items looked great too (table next to us)! Breakfast served all day. Go on Google and get on the call ahead seating, then check in when you get there, they stay busy!

During our holiday trip, my family and I visited the Knoxville, TN location. If you’re hoping to walk in and get seated right away, think again—this place was packed, with a pretty long waitlist. I appreciated that they offered an app with real-time wait times; it was a much better experience than just leaving a phone number and waiting for a call or text.
The restaurant was absolutely worth the wait. Our family really enjoyed the meal, and the pancakes were delicious and filling. Do not skip the blueberry melange butter—it’s a must-try. And I’ve never tasted a vanilla chai tea that creamy and delicious (with almond milk). If I’m in town again, I’d definitely come back and hopefully beat the crowd. ️

The pancake was amazing (obviously). I also ordered the feta and spinach omelette, really good. Grits were ok, not the best I’ve had but not bad. Our waitress was pleasant and the restaurant was super clean. The vibe is nothing like the OG in Chattanooga. It’s more commercial and less hip. Overall everything was great. Bought a few T-shirts for some last minute Christmas gifts as well.. adorable!

After seeing a few “influencer” videos about Aretha Frankensteins we decided to give tge place a try. I can honestly say that the place lived up to the hype. The atmosphere and decore is eclectic, the food is amazing, and the service is even better.
For those who enjoy toilet humor, the decore extends to the throne room.

I’ve been told by a few people I needed to try this establishment, I should of tried the breakfast, but I still had to work the remainder of the day, so I went with a Philly steak, that was decent, services was the best part, Wanda did a really good job, and the decor was really cool. I think need to go back and have breakfast to give a better review.

My wife says these are the best pancakes she’s ever eaten. I took a bite of some of hers and they were absolutely delicious. I had the eggs, bacon and potatoes.

We had breakfast today at this restaurant. It has an extremely eclectic atmosphere that is fun to enjoy. The food is good. It’s portion sizes are large. The service is slow. Sometimes it seems that the waitresses don’t know which way to go. The time it takes to cook the food is also long. If you have time, please enjoy this restaurant.

The food was great, the service was friendly. I love the punk scene and the vintage cereal boxes, and especially the quirky ads! The one thing i can not stop thinking about, is I never saw One photo of Aretha Franklin!! I feel with the likeness of the name, and the vibe, it would make sense and pay respect to her to have some photos of her. Can anyone explain why there is nothing of Aretha there!?
