Disappointed with the poor quality of their food. Irene’s had the best home-cooked meals and staff, we miss that when visiting Hendricks. Gatsby’s needs better meat and a better cook.

We love Gatsby’s for supper – but now they’re serving breakfast too and it’s wonderful. Ordered a farmer’s omelette to go – Gatsby’s absolutely killed it!

We arrived without reservations on a Saturday evening. They were friendly and receptive, seated us right away. Had the cowboy steak burger, very good, well presented. Wait staff was attentive and competent. Atmosphere was fun and very interesting. Decorating for the 1920s speakeasy theme. Would recommend.

Everything was delicious and reasonably priced.
One thing to note, is no liqour sales on Sunday. It’s a city law, not the policies of the restaurant.

The building is very cool and unique with old brick walls and beautiful tin ceilings. Very nice aesthetic and decor. Unfortunately, me and the 4 other people I ate with would not recommend the food at all. The chislic was rubbery and full of tendons/fat. The walleye was grilled and only served with the skin on. Who eats walleye with the skin on? Wasn’t a single bone taken out of the filet, I have 4 or 5 bones in every single bite. The fish was dry and tough to chew with not a speck of flavor. It’s the worst fish I’ve ever eaten in any setting. The entrees took 1 hour and 15 minutes to come out, and they give you about 1/2 an ounce of dressing.drinks were constantly empty, didn’t have enough silverware, the salt shakers on every table were dry, and they give you a slice of lemon about 1 cm thick for your whole filet. If you ask for tartar sauce for THREE different people, they bring you 1 single cup with about 1/4 TBSP. They give you 1 pallet of butter for an entire baked potato and a bread roll with 1 small sauce packet of sour cream. Awful service, awful food, and incredibly stingy. Don’t waste your money

Celebrated my wife’s 30th birthday here; no birthday bash but just her and myself. Chose the restaurant because of the google reviews and Facebook posts and daily specials. We asked to sit on the bar side for the 1920s/1930s speakeasy atmosphere, the dining room was a bit stuffy with the party that was in there with reservations.
My wife ordered the bone-in ribeye special, I ordered the thick-cut prime rib. The food was fantastic, I recommend to everyone. The service was great, drinks replenished before we finished what we had, our server mixed our cocktails herself and she seemed that she enjoyed what she was doing, which means a lot in the modern economy.
I wish “supper clubs” would enforce some dress code standard; I wish for a return to the 1920s-1950s “going out” mentality of putting on your best clothes for dinner at the club, not wearing a construction worker Hi-Viz coat and basketball shorts w/crocs out to dinner.

Neat place but sadly the food did not live up to expectations. It was just ok. We had a reservation for 2 and were out in a banquet feeling back room. The bar area was much nicer and had a lot more ambiance. It took a long time to get our food and they were not busy. Salad was a sad plate of just iceberg lettuce with a few croutons and some cheese. I added a salad for $5. Barely enough dressing and waitstaff was not reachable as they wizzed around a mostly empty restaurant. My husband had prime rib that was pretty tasteless. I had a burger that just tasted off. Star of the show was my sweet potato fries. On the other hand this is a super cute little town!

I have technically eaten there 1 time. But I have had the pleasure of leftovers a relative of mine will bring me some days. I can honestly say that everything I have had from Gatsby’s has been delightfully delicious. Never a disappointment here. Highly recommend.

The food at Gatsby’s is reasonably priced and delicious. The staff is courteous, dedicated, and professional. It’s one restaurant that we definitely want to go to again. When in Hendricks or the surrounding area, I’d suggest you give Gatsby’s a visit. You won’t regret your decision.

Excellent steaks and drinks. Very good service. Only thing I would improve is the salad bar. Could use romaine instead of iceburg and some other improvements. Other than that they were wonderful.
