I’ve been going to Spread Bagelry for weekend bagel runs for a while and usually enjoy the experience, but unfortunately this particular visit didn’t meet expectations.
I ordered a double-toasted sesame bagel with Nova salmon cream cheese along with a sea salt latte. The latte was fine, but the bagel was cold when I bit into it, which was disappointing.
The atmosphere could also have been better during my visit. There was a chair placed next to a trash dumpster, and the back door was open, which made the view less pleasant while eating. I also noticed some trash on the floor.
I’ve had better experiences at other Spread Bagelry locations, including the one near Liberty Mall in Philadelphia, which has been more consistent in my visits. Hopefully this location can improve because I do enjoy the brand overall.

We had a wonderful experience. When we walked in, the smell of the firewood burning felt so warm and cozy for a cold day. My husband loved his bagel, and they made fresh decaf coffee for me. It was such a good cup too! Wish we lived closer but we will certainly be back!

I didn’t enjoy this spot for a couple reasons. Overpriced, mediocre quality and minimal effort service. I gave it shot because the reviews but disappointed overall. The bagels taste similar to a roll, no chew or pull to the outer layer. I asked for my bagel to be toasted the employee responded with they already come out hot – the bagel wasn’t even warm when I got it because they leave the front door wide open! It was 20degrees outside and freezing inside so I asked the employee if they keep the door open during the winter all the time and he replied yes it helps with steam. We got our food and left with the intention of not coming back after tasting the food our intention was reassured.

Stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and was underwhelmed considering the lox bagel ended up being $16 and some change with tax.
The bagel had a great texture and all the ingredients were fresh and flavorful, it just didn’t wow me for it being more expensive than most other bagel places in the city.
The store itself was also dirty, there was dust everywhere and it wasn’t inviting to want to sit and eat there.

Delicious bagels and bagel sandwiches. You can’t go wrong with any of their sandwiches but I recommend getting something with cream cheese. The cream cheese is the best texture and taste I’ve ever had (including fresh NYC and Montreal bagels). Took two containers and a half dozen for home and they travel well—I recommend steaming them first then toasting as they can get a bit hard. The picture I took is from three days later.
There’s a decent amount of tables at this location but make sure to come before 11:30 as it fills up fast. Coffee is also really good, don’t miss out on the orange blossom latte.

Best bagel sandwich I ever eaten! I had the brisket sandwich and the bagel was so soft and pillowy and the brisket melted in my mouth. Shoutout to the manager for being so nice, and yes you will be seeing me again.

This is coming from a New Yorker so I am aware that I am a bagel snob…but I was pleasantly surprised by how yummy my bagel was. I ordered an everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese and it was delicious. The service was quick but there is not much room for seating, so if you come in a large group it might be difficult to accommodate.

Was craving a bagel and ventured into Spread Bagelry for a Carnegie Breakfast – egg, Swiss cheese, and pastrami on your choice of bagel.
Felt like a quaint local neighborhood spot and it was decently steady on the Sunday morning that I visited with plenty of people coming to dine in and those ordering/picking up to-go. I didn’t think too much of the wait at first because it was busy, but after a handful of patrons had long ordered and received their food before I had, I came up to the cashier to ask about mine. I don’t know if my ticket didn’t show up on their screens or if it was overlooked, but i ended up waiting even longer before it was done. I apparently wasn’t the only one whose order wasn’t made/overlooked /lost because a gentleman who was already waiting on food when I first stepped in line experienced the same long wait. I don’t know if that’s a regular thing that happens or if the staff was swamped, I’m not sure.
I finally got my order and even after a 10 minute walk back to my hotel, my bagel was still nice and warm. The eggs were nicely seasoned and the Swiss cheese was a nice touch, however the pastrami was slightly lacking in quantity. On the plus side though, the pastrami was delicious and the bagel overall hit the spot.
All in all, not a bad place for a breakfast sandwich. It might be more on the pricey side but I think it’s still worth checking out despite the experience I had.

I think I liked it? I got the whole wheat bagel with butter and the whole wheat taste was a bit overwhelming. However, I haven’t had a whole wheat bagel in awhile and I know it’s an acquired taste so take that as you will. Regardless, I enjoyed it. Also, I don’t know what “Montreal Style” means so I can’t speak to that aspect of it. I can speak to the iced chai latte though, which was really good and refreshing! Staff was also friendly. My only complaint is that they took almost 15 minutes to give me my bagel, despite the place being relatively empty. I think they just forgot about my order because it looked like they had a lot of people coming in to pick up orders. I wasn’t in any rush though so this didn’t bother me too much. Overall, I would come back for a quick breakfast, especially since I want to try their breakfast sandwiches!
