The staff is very kind and friendly! I know I can depend on them to make the drinks I want and I always feel respected and taken care of. I love that it’s connected to the library too. I appreciate that upper management cares about the cleanliness and flow of their stores. I’ve seen them take orders, wash windows, and support their staff with care. It’s one of my favorite places to be in Ann Arbor!

Used to be my favorite go to for coffee. I bought earlier this week (today is 11/08/25) an Ice Creamy Double Frappe….. This was basically a normal ice coffee with a tiny bit of melted ice cream in it and it was given in the smallest cup. I drunk it all at once. Usually it’s nice and thick, this was slightly thicker than water. And because I don’t like making a scene I just took it and left. But unfortunately will not return.

I went here last weekend to grab a quick coffee and ended up staying longer than I planned. The place has a nice cozy vibe, and the staff were really friendly. I ordered a caramel latte and a blueberry muffin—both were really good. The coffee was smooth and not too strong, just how I like it. It wasn’t too crowded, so it was easy to find a seat and relax for a bit. Prices were fair for the quality. Overall, a nice little spot if you want a quiet place to enjoy your coffee.

Great place! Went here for breakfast and got some ginger raspberry iced tea that I highly recommend along with a spinach feta wrap, also amazing! The staff were incredibly personable and helpful. Lots of comfortable seating focused on conversation and a lively environment that does a good job helping you start your day itself. ❤️

I love this coffee shop! I visit everyday, and most of the baristas already know what I’m getting , which makes me really happy that they even remember lol. Everyone is so nice and kind, which I really appreciate. Olivia and James are honestly AMAZING, and always offer the best customer service. I always enjoy my mornings at Sweetwaters.

Cozy, great staff, plenty of room. Good place to study, write, read. Extra seating area behind front room is a great touch. In a town where everything closes super early, it’s nice to have an option that is open a little later.

First experience. $10 for a 16 oz iced mocha with burnt espresso. Ordered with peppermint, not sure if they put peppermint in it. Was questioned about why I would want an iced drink. Turns out the person who questioned my drink order was the person who made the work schedule, because while I waited for my drink to be made she loudly complained about the difficulty of making the schedule to the staff working, then openly said “I have [name redacted] scheduled that day. They won’t be much help but at least they’ll be here.” An overall bummer of an experience.

Was in the area on vacation visiting family, and I was pleasantly surprised by how far above and beyond this location was compared to everything in the area.
From the people at the front counter, remembering me from the first time I came in down to the drinks being top-notch and feeling like it was made from scratch by your grandmother.
Also, usually when you go to a place like this, the bathrooms are less than desirable. You can tell that from the top down to the bottom, everybody is invested in keeping the place clean and in tiptop shape.
I now look forward to coming back to the area every time and this is always gonna be my first stop no matter what time of day.
Such a lovely place and the atmosphere makes you feel very, very comfortable and at home even when you’re many many states away from home.

Great local coffee shop to spend your money in here and not those big chains 🙂 if you like a sweet treat try the mocha ice dragon, my favorite for those hot days. The cafe also has space to work or meet and relax with a friend.
