We had our first date here almost 40 years ago and the food still tastes incredible! We have moved away but every time we come back to visit, The Venetian, is on our must stops and it never disappoints! Their antipasto salad is always so fresh and there is something so simple yet so delicious about their pepperoni pizza! We never get anything else because it’s simply the best! The garlic bread is so good and a nice change from regular bread! It’s hard not to fill up on that before the pizza arrives. The staff has always been wonderful as well! The Venetian is a Point Loma institution!

This was my second time dining here, and the experience matched my 1st visit. This spot is easy to find with plenty of street parking. The food portions are generous and very tasty. My wife had lasagna, I ordered pizza, and we shared a salad. Everything tasted great and I especially liked their pizza sauce. But what stood out most me was the service! We were lucky to have Mike as our server both times we visited. From start to finish, Mike provided an exceptional dining experience and was attentive without being intrusive. He and his assistant anticipated our needs, ensuring our drinks were always refilled and checking in at just the right moments. Mike’s warm, friendly demeanor made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. What stood out most was Mike’s positive energy and light hearted humor such as joking about the “calorie free” Tiramisu we ordered for desert. Despite the restaurant being busy, he managed to keep everything running smoothly, which added to our enjoyment of the evening. His exceptional service, combined with his friendly and professional attitude, is a rare find. If you’re dining here, I highly recommend requesting Mike as your server. He truly exemplifies what outstanding service should be.Thank you, Mike, for making our night special. We look forward to returning and experiencing your outstanding service again!

I rarely leave reviews, but this Italian restaurant was too good of an experience to not share with everyone. The service was great and very welcoming. It smelled great walking in and taste even better. The freshness of the clams and flavor is some of the best Italian food I have have in a while. Definitely will be coming back every time I visit San Diego.

This is a VERY GOOD Italian restaurant. The food is delicious, feels absolutely homemade and the quantities are HUGE. We ordered the lentil soup in a bowl and the large spaghetti with mushrooms and meat sauce. Really big big portions. The garlic bread is totally worth trying git! A nice touch is that the Parmesan cheese for the pasta is shaved not grated. Great service, attentive and not intrusive. Sadly, we did not have room for dessert. Next time!

Some dishes better than others. Chicken parm great comfort food. Another person had a seafood linguine dish and was not impressed. Said sauce was disappointing. But zucchini was great! Atmosphere comfortable and welcoming!

The Venetian Point Loma is the real deal! The food tastes homemade—like something straight out of grandma’s kitchen. Super chill vibes, great service (shoutout to Quinn for being awesome), and just an all-around solid spot to grab a bite. If you’re in the area, you gotta try it!

The service and the servers are amazing. Amazing family feel, the food was good but not showstopping. I will definitely return for a date night! We got the calamari, scallop arrabiata, baked ravioli, and cheese cake… all good!

Impressive service at this neighborhood Italian spot. Nice to get complimentary, warm garlic bread. Pizza was cheesy. I enjoyed my grilled shrimp Caesar.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in San Diego! We visited the Venetian restaurant last week and had an amazing pizza and experience. Our waiter, Quinlan, remembered us from our visit three weeks prior and actually remembered the subtleties of how we liked our pizza cooked. Quinlan did everything to make our recent trip perfect. His assistant, Beto, also remembered us and was super friendly once again.
