I especially love the bento boxes, the specialty sushi rolls, house specials on the chalkboard, and creative drinks. The tuna is yum, I love love the salmon, and they have tons of items on the menu. prices are good in this economy, and it is always clean for us. Every server is 10/10, I always feel very cared for when we visit.
We have spent multiple anniversaries and special occasions here. Thank you!
Many people don’t understand the difference between a restaurant that is simply old and one that is consistently great. If you didn’t attend Sheldon High School before 2013, you might not fully appreciate how delicious this wonderful restaurant is!
Throughout all four years of high school, my mom gave me enough pocket change for a small lunch, but I was happy to wait until I was home to enjoy her cooking. Instead, I saved that money.
I was looking for a quiet and calm environment to study, and I found it at Sushi Seoul, which used to be located across from Sheldon. Yes, it’s so good that I went there consecutively for four years!
The owners welcomed me into their business with open arms. Seeing me with my backpack, they were immediately considerate and found me a quiet space where I could focus.
Going to this Wednesday sanctuary every week became more than a routine; it became my time to manifest my wildest dreams and goals into reality. This was all with the support of the two owners, who would sometimes partially cover my expenses, not knowing I had very little money of my own.
I’m so grateful and feel blessed to have met these two amazing people early in my life. They are a part of the heart and soul of this beautiful community we all share.
As I sit here now welcoming two more clients to this dream of business I manifested, I want you all to know how amazing this special place they have built is. I can only tell you that their food is worth your time. I encourage you to come and experience it with friends and family—not just on my word, but for the kindness they have shown to so many others besides myself.
I will keep coming back to Sushi Seoul because one sip of their Tonkatsu Ramen is more than just noodles; it’s the manifestation of greatness that is the soul of Downtown Eugene.
My server was super cool and recommended the Korean menu saying it was down-low one of the better things around and they were right!
I wasn’t disappointed, and I hope you’re not either!
Parking: street
Atmosphere: quiet
Accessibility: okay
I’ve been here a few times and it’s hit or miss. Some dishes are okay and others are not. The fish cake udon is mediocre at best. The raw fish sushi is a bit old and anemic. The fried rolls are big. They have a small Korean selection and the Kimchi was disappointing. Service is attentive and nice but we did have an issue with ordering a large beer and getting a small. Had to correct the bill at the end and it was a whole thing to show the server they served us 12 oz and not a large 22 oz.
its also open till 11 pm which isnt as common as you’d like which makes it an excellent late night spot if you’re downtown
The menu has plenty of choices, not just sushi but also delicious Korean dishes. My personal favorites are the meat jun and beef bibimbap, and the takoyaki is absolutely amazing. On top of that, the prices are very affordable, the space is accommodating, and it’s a family-friendly spot that makes everyone feel comfortable.
Highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven’t already–you won’t be disappointed!
They said it was safe. Maybe it was. They didn’t have proof and we were turned off at that point by service from all.
