We have been going to pop’s for years. Never a problem with the food. Till the middle of 2025. The pop’s on 127th harlem we have gotten fries that are old and stale 3 times. Now we went to pop’s at 143rd wolf rd. Same thing. Stale old fries. Do they think the fries last forever. This ends me going to pop’s anymore.

Husband and I both had beef sandwich with mozzarella cheese and fries with cheese on side and two small drinks. Absolutely delicious, sooo good. You order at counter then wait for food. It was quick and the place is very clean. Once again, my only issue is the price. Twenty seven dollars is kind of steep for lunch. Not blaming them, I realize everywhere is over priced and its just getting out of hand, and we are not cheap people by any means.

Upon returning again, I had another Italian beef. I wanted to mention how the food was and tell the owner I had left a review before; instead he ignored me.
I approached him after washing my hands, take a moment to thank him. A customer was coming up to get their food, but discovered the order was wrong. Had ordered seasoned fries and was given regular fries.
So I was courteous to wait; Mark acknowledged me, but then pretended I wasn’t still standing there and asked what I wanted. Seemed bothered to speak to me. Never asked how the food was. Just a cold stare. Odd.
Food is ok. Management, not so much. Didn’t expect to be looked down on. We had talked in the past, I’ve been respectful. When someone decides they don’t like you, what can you do? That is his problem.

My initial review from earlier in September this year:
So glad I stopped here at Pop’s (OP Wolf Rd.) today! Went with their bigger Italian beef, dipped with sweet peppers. Was impressed with the quality and portion size; and the sweet peppers, was just about a half bell pepper! Fresh and hot. (Guess I need to learn how to cook my own, heh!)

This spot on Wolf is a total joke. Overpriced trash with mediocre food. The chicken sandwich was sad, the gyro had barely any meat at all, and the chili cheese dog was straight-up inedible. The service? Like you’re annoying them just by showing up. They seriously need to take notes from Pops in Palos Heights because this place is a huge disappointment. Don’t waste your time or money here.

They have the best seasoned fries on the planet. The guys at the counter were really nice and cool too. I’ve only been to the smaller Pop’s, that are in gas n was, but this one was even better. I noticed a difference in their food, the other ones are great but this one is the best. Their prices are great and the food is so good. They are definitely up there with portillos and every other great Chicagoland beef and hot dog place. I will make a point to go back when I’m in the area. Just a fantastic place with fantastic people working there.

We’ve been catering from Pop’s in Orland on Wolf Rd. For twenty years now and everyone really enjoys it. We always go with the package that includes fried chicken, Italian beef, Italian sausage, mostaccioli, and macaroni salad. The food is always fresh and hot, and the prices are very reasonable.

Was able to try the italian beef combo, double sausage, the hotdog with fries, shake, and seasoned fries. The service was great, as well as the food.
