I heard positive reviews about this restaurant from the ‘Brennan Taylor’ YouTube channel. I’ve lived in Murfreesboro all my life and seen the market all the time, but I never knew this location was also a restaurant! This past Sunday, I came with my mom and brother. Me and my mom were star struck by the server (being that she was the same lady from the YouTube video). She was so nice!
The food was amazing! Especially the hummus! We got the lamb plate and two mixed plates (chicken and lamb). I will admit the lamb was a tad dry (not sure if it is supposed to be like that) but the flavor was great!
I look forward to coming back for their healthy fresh food!

Great flavors here. The vegan falafel plate was spectacular. The fried falafel was tasty with a crispy, toasty exterior that doesn’t dry out on the inside. They have the best Hummus around. It’s creamy and smooth with a tiny hint of citrus flavor. The olive oil pools off to the side of the Hummus, only enhancing the entire flavor profile of the Hummus.
Aside from the food, service was great. Sweet and kind staff always making sure you are enjoying your dining experience.

Absolutely excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The music is such a nice touch in the dining room. Prices are very low for several things that I honestly didn’t expect at the market. In addition, the way that they expose you to their culture doesn’t feel oppressive, just a tiny little nudge that it’s a way of life for people out there. The knick knacks and selection at the market are also superb for someone who is worried about keeping Kosher/Halal as well.

During our visit, we enjoyed a delicious lunch that was simply perfect. Our waitress, originally from Jordan, was exceptionally friendly, and the entire staff was courteous and accommodating.
However, I did notice that some prices were on the higher side. For instance, the side dish of Baba Ganoush was priced significantly above what I would expect, and several drinks from the refrigerator seemed overpriced as well. As someone who works in this industry, I know that the retail price for a Coke or iced tea is around $0.20, so selling it for $3 or $3.50 feels excessive and could discourage customers.
On a positive note, the falafel side was fantastic, priced perfectly at $2, and the Arayas—bread filled with flavorful meat—were equally impressive. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and relaxing, making it a great place to enjoy a meal.

And it’s all been so delicious. They really know what they’re doing here. Lots of passion goes into their food.
And I must say, they have the best hummus I have ever had in my life. It is silky smooth. So delicious and perfect.
I really need to come check out this place in person and definitely look around their market.

The Food The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection Everything tasted fresh and authentic
The Spice Controversy I’ve heard some people complaining about the spices or saying the flavor is off but that couldn’t be further from the truth The seasoning is balanced traditional and high-quality. It seems like some people might just be misunderstood or sharing incorrect information because the flavors here are spot on
The Staff The team at Al-Rayyan is wonderful The employees are incredibly professional respectful, and welcoming. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great dining experience.
Final Verdict If you’re looking for great food and excellent service, ignore the negativity and give this place a try It’s easily one of the best spots in town!
