Came here right when it opened, sorry, got a table right away, great friendly service, a average wait for the food. A little pricey but worth it to try different foods everytime you come here. The food is fantastic, I love sushi and will come back when I visit the area.

Atmosphere reminded me and my wife of the places in NYC we loved and would frequent.
I got the beef hibachi, which exceeded my expectations. Yum yum sauce can be hit or miss between places but theirs was the best in the area that I’ve tried. Chicken tempura with yum-yum was amazing. Wife had an assortment of sushi and loved them all. Salads with the ginger dressing were fresh and crisp. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive.
It’s our new go to for Japanese/Korean in GR area.

This is my favorite sushi spot in Grand Rapids! Lately, I find myself visiting about once a week, and it never disappoints. The restaurant is always clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is consistently excellent.
Their menu offers a fantastic variety of rolls, and the sashimi is always fresh. The fried rice is another standout—absolutely delicious! If you’re a fan of spicy tuna rolls, theirs is an absolute must-try.
While it can get busy during peak dinner hours, the staff does a great job managing the crowd and ensuring you’re seated in a reasonable amount of time.
Whether you’re a sushi lover or just looking for a great meal, this place is definitely worth a visit!

HAIR IN MY FOOD TWICE!!
Yesterday, I treated myself to a special meal while my daughters were away. After picking up my food, I went to my car to check that I had received the sauces I had requested. When I opened my container, I found a long black hair sitting on top of the tinfoil and wrapped around the gochujang. I decided to leave it for them to see and went back inside to ask them to remake my meal. Their reaction was strange; it seemed almost as if they were expecting this, and there was no concern at all about finding hair in their food.
Inside the restaurant, there aren’t many places to wait without being in the way, so I stood there awkwardly while they remade my dish.
Honestly, my intuition told me to check the meal before leaving, but I was already feeling uncomfortable and was late to meet a friend at my house. When I got home, I made sure to double-check, and to my surprise, I found ANOTHER HAIR. This time, it was cooked into the meat. I’ve attached photos, but I will also be sharing the video. I can understand making a mistake once, but finding hair twice in a row either indicates that the restaurant is dirty and careless, or it may have been intentional.
The video is a lot more detailed and you can see how it was cooked into the meat.
I would avoid this restaurant unless you want to eat a stranger’s hair.

I have been here twice, each time service and food are top notch! My first server was Jenna who was very helpful with telling me items I can eat with my milk allergy plus very sweet. My second server was Zac who was also sweet and even though he was the only server during a rush hour he still gave excellent service. Definitely will be back again! ☺️

I would really like to give this a five star, but the Bulgogi beef hibachi needs some work (an extra sauce, or different preparation on the beef… Something, it lacks flavor) – this is a direct comparison to Tokyo Grill who consistently delivers high-quality hibachi.

Fantastic sushi and their hibachi is excellent as well! We always enjoy the miso soup and the salad with the ginger dressing. Soooo good! Love that they have gluten free soy sauce. Jasmine provides great service.

I come here often, and I crave the Sushi Burritos. I eat a lot of sushi and I think this is one of the best places in town. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I recommend the angry unagi sushi burrito. The salmon roe is fresh and delicious. I also enjoyed the bulgogi burrito with gochujang dipping sauce. My only complaint is they are a tad pricey, but the food is excellent and worth the price.

Great food! Had the soft shell crab, miso soup, bipbimbap, chicken bento box and side salad. One meal alone is about 20 dollars, but they have great portion sizes (more than enough for leftovers). Definitely recommend!
