Bori Munchies absolutely deserves five stars! Super professional team, quick service, and an easy, accessible spot on Madison Blvd in Madison. We ordered the Pernil with Mofongo and it was phenomenal—juicy, deeply seasoned roast pork with rich flavors and even cuerito (crispy pork skin). Plate presentation was on point, prices were very affordable, and the quality showed in every bite. We also tried the arroz chino con pepper steak and a mofongo bowl—both were delicious and made the whole meal feel like a mini trip to Puerto Rico. Awesome quality, real attention to detail, and great value. We’ll be back!

I stopped by this Puerto Rican food truck that serves “munchies” and offers deals for getting multiple items. They also sell empanadas by the dozen. One of the workers was really helpful in explaining how the menu worked and what the items were. I went with some of his recommendations like the Malta India beverage and the Veggie empanada. The food is served within 5-10 minutes and is hot. The empanadas are flaky. My pictures don’t do all the empanadas justice. There’s a little seating near the food truck.
I ordered the following:
Churro Cheesecake (3/5): it was visually appealing with a nice touch of diced strawberries on top. The bottom and top were a little burnt. It wasn’t incredibly sweet.
Veggie Empanada (5/5): The empanada was flaky and wonderful. The veggies paired well. I’d get this again.
Pizza Empanada (2/5): I felt like the dough was made out of puff pastry. It was different from the other empanadas. It did taste like pizza, but probably won’t get again.
Chicken Empanada (4/5): There was a good amount of meat. It wasn’t dry and had good flavor.
Corn Stick with Cheese (4/5): It had like a cornbread consistency, but was a little softer. The cheese inside wasn’t that noticeable.
Malta India (5/5): The beverage was malty. It has raw cane sugar, and a real treat during the meal. Makes me want to find this at international markets now.
I recommend giving this place a try!

I’ve been DYING for someone to prepare good PR food. FINALLY, I have found my place! We got the mofongo cup with, arros con habichuelos and pernil. I literally cried because it tasted just like home. Run don’t walk to this truck!!!

We tried three empanadas (steak, chicken, shrimp), a stuff potato ball, and the vanilla custard. Everything was quite good. The cooked items were all placed in a pizza box. We chose to eat the meal at home, which is about 5 minutes away from the truck, and everything was still very hot and crispy.
