I got a to-go order recently. Not only are the employees lookers, but they are always very patient with and polite to this old lady, and have been since I started visiting occasionally 3 years ago. I thought back then that they made the best falafel in town, and I found out last week that it’s still true. I had a falafel bowl, which was fresh and delicious. At $12 it was not a bargain, but sadly, there is no such thing these days. *The only exception to the wonderful employees I have experienced was, strangely, the manager, who last year got bent out of shape because I sent back the rice, which was too dry. The correct response, sir, would’ve been, “I’m sorry about that, ma’am, let me refund the price,” instead of giving me a hard time. So I boycotted for a year, which I forgot I was doing when I ordered the other day,

I love penos and I’ve been going to this restaurant for years. Its been a while since I’ve visited because (I know it’s so petty) but there’s hardly any plantains in my wrap even when I pay for extra the last time I paid for extra there was legitimately only 3 plantains in my wrap. I made it clear today that I would like plantains, and described my last experiences, and I was extremely pleasantly surprised. The cashier didn’t guilt me or try to argue with me, she just promptly oversaw the creation of my burrito. To add, I’ve never ever had a negative employee interaction here. The gentleman working was also very kind, and I am beyond impressed of my wrap today. Very delicious and definitely full of plantains! I’m glad I can make penos my go to again. I was there around 2:30-3:30 pm ☺️

I got the lamb platter. I got to choose whatever 2 sides I wanted with my platter which is nice. The lamb and basmati rice was dry and old. It didn’t taste fresh. The food was full of flavor, delicious, old, and dry like it has been been sitting out for hours. Unlimited sauce which helps with the dryness. The pita bread, tomato and avocado salad, hummus very was good. Not dry. My daughter got the Philly Gyro which was really good and it wasn’t dry and tasted fresh. Unlimited drinks if you dine in.
Its not a quality restaurant. I expected the place to be clean and of high quality because of the high star reviews. Someone told me that the place is expensive. I had high expectations.
I didn’t expect to see styrofoam trays for my food to be served in when we are dining in and plastic utensils. The men the cooked the food was friendly and the man brought the food to our table was very handsome. The presentation of the food was not appealing. The empty tables looked dirty. The whole place looked dingy. The place was set up like Chipotle.
I wanted to leave as soon as I saw the place but it was pouring rain outside, I never tried this place, and I haven’t eaten all day.
The place didnt have trash everywhere but it didn’t look clean. The tables looked like it was poor quality material. The tables didn’t look like it was wiped clean or organized. The floor didn’t look like it was clean. My table was dirty and had another customer’s hair on it.
Unexpected the place to be bigger but it was small. Not cute or cozy. The restaurant looked cheap and low quality. I was disappointed in the atmosphere. I liked the upbeat music played through their busted speakers when made a loud weird sound to each beat.
There was only one person inside when I first walked in maybe because it was pouring rain outside.
If you are expecting a high quality restaurant with metal utensils, ceramic plates, or real wood tables, food that is fresh then this place is not for you. If you want delicious fast greek food then this place is for you.
I gave this place 3 star rating because the food was delicious, old and dry, I didn’t think the price matched the quality of the atmosphere or food. The rating would have been lower if the workers weren’t friendly and helpful.

The men in there are wholesome regular regular amazing people. Treated my family nice and offered to move a table to arrange us to sit more. Greet with smiles and the Caribbean wrap is where it’s at. We get the grape leaves and baklava, along with the hummus and pita which is good all around. The salsas are wonderful and my brother in law had a shawarma gyro which he enjoyed. Idk if there are other locations anywhere else, but Jacksonville needed this place big time. Not a fan of much Jacksonville cuisine but this one you cant miss or get upset about. On the far side of western and a good date night spot. Compare this is to the KFC in Jamaica. Take that special one on a date here.

For a fast food Mediterranean here in Jacksonville, it’s not that bad. During our first visit, we were greeted by the friendly employees and the place was very clean. The service was very quick despite being busy since it’s dinner time. I am giving 2 stars because of the food AND as people have mentioned, I’ve been to other locations. Other locations especially the one in Wilmington is very generous with their portions. I ordered the Chicken Kabob Platter and my husband ordered gyro. The platter looks small in the picture, but it was enough to fill me up for dinner. The rice could use some more water since it was a little dry and the chicken was a little dry as well, but it was still tasty though.

Gross, the rice was cold. The meat was dry in the platter, and the fries were stale. Missing items. The bag was tied up, so we didn’t notice how sh*t everything was.
The gyros were super delicious. Which was shocking bc everything else was trash.
I hate that I would recommend this place, but I do. But only get the Gyros. I was told this and didn’t listen.
Everyone was cool and working hard. I felt welcomed…..
Side note get all the sauces….and even more tzatziki sauce.

The food was not too bad, the lamb and beef platter was a bit overcooked. The grape leaves were delicious (but you can never mess them up). Not the best Mediterranean food I’ve had, but it’s descent. I think they just needed more employees.

Greeted quickly by friendly military looking dude, ordered and got drinks. Food came out about 7-10 minutes after we sat down. Not to bad considering it was sort of busy.
We had the gyro platter, which was fresh and hot with good amounts of Taziki sauce and hummus, salad was fresh with big chunks of feta, and the cilantro sauce from the sauce bar was good enough to drink.
The chicken pita was also flavorful with fresh onions and olives. The regular pita was also good. The dude came around several times to see how everything was, and we told him it was great. We will be back!
