I tried the beef & mushroom taco and the chicken quesadilla. Both corn and flour tortillas were really good—slightly toasted, which makes a big difference. Yes, it’s a bit oily, but in a good way. Everything was super tasty and the portions were generous.
Overall, a great experience. I’ll definitely be back to try the guac and one of their bowls. Really good spot, highly recommend.
Both my vegetarian and non-vegetarian friends and family love the mushroom tacos. In fact, many of the meat eaters end up preferring the mushroom over the meat options. Yes, the mushroom tacos are that phenomenal.
The chips and guac are also great, and service is always quick and efficient. There’s plenty of seating, with both indoor and outdoor options, which I appreciate.
I’ve been visiting the Culver and Playa locations for several years and am never disappointed. A true neighborhood staple.
Not the best service I was just trying to pay for a portion of beans and he said that that was impossible and he was trying to charge me full price for it. I really thought this was a good spot, but it seems that all the businesses in this facility, feel very entitled and superior but unfortunately, there’s gonna be a sad reality. Check for most businesses because in the state of the economy a lot of places will be shut down. That’s a guarantee. The ones with great service and heart will survive.

The chips are super crispy, perfectly salted and taste fresh. Also, I love how much guac they pile onto the chips, it’s a hearty scoop and makes it work the price tag. The dip itself is creamy, smooth, has little bits of onion for some brightness and texture, the cilantro ties it together, could stand to have a bit more acidity but that’s a nitpick.
The beef birria bowl is a great portion of food for the price; I was actually left satisfied. The corn tortillas are hot and fresh with a great massa flavor and satisfying chew. The beef is a bit dry, but still tender. My friend told me the chicken and shrimp are a lot better, so I’ll try those next time.
Overall, LOQUI surprised me, especially for a more upscale fast-casual Mexican joint. Would absolutely recommend!
