Tried again, got ripped off. I try this place every summer just to see if it’s gotten back to how good it was years ago. This summer was another disappointment.
We tried ordered 2 cones. Nothing fancy other than I requested the fudge dipped cone they advertised. The guy said there wasn’t any but he could put a little fudge on top. Sure, ok seemed fair. My husband ordered a basic cone with a new flavor of ice cream. What we got was a double scoop (only ordered a single) in a cup for my husband and a bowl of ice cream with fudge all over it and charged for a double cone and an ice cream sundae.
They are forever out of things, the food that gets cooked is no longer soft (pretzels) or fresh tasting, they over charge every chance they get and the woman has an attitude if you dare ask for something like a side of cheese while ordering (I was trying to order it with the pretzel so we could pay the extra, so it’s not like I was trying to dodge paying).
Ultimately sadly this place use to be the go to stop when my kids were younger. They couldn’t wait to go every summer…. Now it’s an emergency stop if we ABSOLUTELY need ice cream and even the gas stations machine is down or they are out of ice cream. I’ll keep trying once a summer in hopes they get their groove back. I miss the old place.

First time getting ice cream from here, it was delicious! I got the graham canyon in a cone, it had graham crackers and sponge candy. It ended up being one of my new favorite ice creams. Would definitely be back again, my family went to the Zippo festival and stopped here afterwards.

One of my favorite places to get icecream, pick up dinner, or grab a quick bite. The friendly owners, and of course the daily $5 lunch specials will keep you coming back for more. And don’t be fooled by the size of this place because they have a pretty big and delicious variety of ice creams. Would recommend anyone without hesitation.

I enjoyed the Hollywood burger. Two decent weighted burger patties, thick, freshly sliced L,T,O & their Hollywood sauce on a fresh sub roll was very filling and delicious. A “hole in the wall” sort of place this place cranks out orders with limited outdoor seating but I did see a lot of people take food to go. A great quick bite or treat place for anyone in the area. Employees were very friendly and helpful.

On our way through Bradford yesterday on a road trip, we were pleased to spot this old-school place. My cheeseburger was delicious, freshly cooked and hot with a generous-sized patty and really fresh, toasted (or grilled?) roll too. And what a great selection of ice cream flavors! But what impressed us most was how the ice cream was packed right down to the bottom of the cone! (Thank you!) The prices were very fair – if we lived here, we’d be regulars!

I ordered a milkshake hot dog and fries. The milkshake was delicious-best in town so far! After 15 minutes I got the hot dog and fries. The fries were undercooked, and the hot dog was undercooked. In Papa Scoops defense, I’m fussy about my hot dogs…must have a toasted roll, and obvious evidence of being blackened on a grill. Would I go back and try something else? ABSOLUTELY!!
