Just took my wife here on a lunch date. The service and food was excellent! Had crab delight for an appetizer and was delicious! We both had chicken pad Thai and that was amazing. Definitely will be back! Nice little hidden gem on 22nd st. Highly recommend!

Really nice staff and pretty decent food. I am personally a really big fan of the Wonton Soup, but I feel like the Pad See Ew and the Pad Thai were a little lacking. For the Pad See Ew, I felt like the flavor was very mellow and did not really make an impression on me. As for the Pad Thai, I would not recommend getting it maximum spice as the flavor turns unbearably acidic and overpowers the actual ingredients of the dish. On the other hand, their Thai Tea is very lovely and has strong flavor in a good way. Overall, a pretty nice establishment with good vibes.

Sadly disappointing. The Panang Curry was more like Panang Soup. It was so watery, as if they are just adding water to stretch the pot and save money. There was very little veg, and it was the little cube carrots and peas like it’s just from a frozen bag. Taste is decent.

Got Thom Yum soup. It was offered as 32 ounce large option. The 32 ounce container was just over half full, so we didn’t get what was advertised. The soup had a ton of oil and the container was melted like they poured boiling soup straight in the plastic container. Can’t be that healthy.

Rice portion seems small as well. I usually can only finish half the rice. I think they shrunk the container size.

Overall food was decently flavored, but the low quality preparation and presentation issues reduce the experience to 2 stars. Would be more acceptable if the prices were low, but this was quite expensive for a small strip mall restaurant. $32 for the curry and large soup.

Thai restaurant right off of 22nd and University. Nice little place. Family owned with a traditional menu. Wife got Spicy Basil chicken with excellent flavors and a heat scale of 4. Gotta sày i expected it to be hotter. It was delicious though.
I got Red Curry chicken heat scale of 3, and it wasn’t spicy enough either, but it was also excellent with plenty of Thai flavors. I have had coconut based Thai food In the past, this was the tastiest by far. We both got hot chai tea which was not a house blend but was a higher end tea company that was also excellent. We enjoyed the meal so much we ordered spicy Thai noodles to take home. Food portions were more than enough and with dumplings as an appetizer (tasty also) and two teas, we spent $70. I usually complain about prices this high at restaurants , but I’m not because the food was that good.

I honestly don’t know how you have the rating you do. We got 3 meals to go last night and 2 of the meals we’re substandard and 1 meal was just inedible!! At $16-$18 a pop, it’s just far from ok! I feel like I got robbed (quite frankly) on my dinner. The sesame chicken was the inedible dish. The chicken was dry and chewy, the sauce did NOT taste good at all and some sesame seeds were just thrown on top. It was a complete waste of our money on an evening that we wanted to enjoy take out. We will NOT be returning our business again.

Very nice customer service and the food tasted very fresh. The fried rice was good and so was the Pad Thai, the Khao Soi was a different, it was thick, creamy a little too much coconut for my me but overall it was editable. I would come here again if I’m in town and try other stuff on the menu.

This by FAR my favorite Thai place in Des Moines. I have NEVER had a bad meal, and never not had the BEST service. I’ve had a lot of Thai food from every major city in the US, and this is the best Thai cuisine I’ve ever had. The folks that run this place are also so kind and wonderful!

Eat Thai is a real gem in town. Food is always fresh, tasty, and authentic. Great customer service, the owner cares a lot about her customers’ experience and food quality. The number ONE Thai restaurant in my mind.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had! The atmosphere was very relaxing, the dish choices were staggering, and the level to which the foods for every dish complimented each other truly left nothing left to desire, especially with the ability to customize the spice for every dish! I haven’t had Thai food before, but if this is what it’s like I love it! Appreciate the desert options as well, and would absolutely recommend the macarons! Absolutely will be coming back.

Great food that’s different then most Thai restaurants in a very good way. I highly recommend the Chicken Pad Thai, The Yellow Curry, and the Spicy Noodle.
