Excellent Ethiopian food. Tried Ethiopian cuisine for the first time and really Liked it. Traditional food cooked and served by the Owner herself. Slow service, but worth the wait. DO NOT let the interior decor fool you. MUST TRY.

Great food, affordable prices, friendly service and extremely authentic. This was my first experience trying Ethiopian food, we didn’t expect to find something so terrific in a tourist beach town, luckily we did. The appetizer bread, I believe it’s called defo dabo has caraway seeds and tastes like some kind of other-worldly savory cake! If you are vegan, Redi-et has your back!! Their entire ‘vegetarian’ menu is actually vegan. I had the vegetable plate (choice of 4 veggies served on a huge piece of injera) and thought I’m not sure what the Ethiopian names for the foods were, I had spicy split peas, lentils, cabbage and another item that escapes me now. The beers are delicious and even have a hint of honey flavor! You have got to try Redi-et… I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and have been craving their food for weeks now!!

I’ve been here twice, once with my mom for lunch and once with my husband for a dinner date. Our server was friendly and helpful with explaining some of the dishes that we weren’t too familiar with. When I went for lunch the platter was enough to share. (I highly recommend the cabbage and the lentils!) It was also a really fun place to go on a date with my husband.
Also, huge plus, they have great music videos playing on the TV and it really sets the mood. Too good.

The bread and sauce that comes before the meal is fantastic! Worth the trip alone. I had a beef dish that was a little dry but the seasoning made up for it. The server was very nice but a little slow. I would definitely come back!

Really enjoyed the food here. My wife, friends and I were trying Ethiopian food for the first time (for most of us) and were pleasantly surprised. Great tasting food and delicious seasoning. Service was very busy and therefore timing was slow, but well worth the wait.

Amazing food. Our family of five has eaten there about once a month for the last two years. The prices are very affordable and we have never had a meal that was anything but excellent. Highly recommended (we are vegans, and this restaurant has more than a dozen choices for us).

Service was super slow, both from the waiter to the kitchen. When the two of us arrived, there were only two others there, waiting for their order. We sat and waited until the waiter decided that we needed to be paid attention to. After receiving menus, he decided that maybe he should go back and ask about a beverage. After ordering, waited for about half an hour to get an appetizer, and a napkin 10 minutes after. Food arrived 45 minutes later, lukewarm and unappetizing looking. The Lamb and the Beef were a stew like paste that tasted all the same. The Chicken was a tiny leg dry and overcooked. The hard boiled egg that came with the meal was not fresh. Probably a leftover from last weeks cooking. Everything tasted the same. Very pricy for both the portion sizes, (tiny) and the quality of the cuisine.
I’ve eaten Ethiopian food in Baltimore, MD, in the back room of a local dingy little market, that was marvelous, had taste and freshness, and a thousand times better.

We had a great experience at Redi-et.

Server was professional, friendly, and polite. The food (we got a soup, cabbage, and lamb dishes) was very well prepared and portions were plentiful. We were had enough left overs for the next day. Bonus: great prices!!!

We will definitely return and will highly recommend this restaurant!!!!

First time eating Ethiopian. Did the vegetarian platter decidedly “mild” and loved it. Had the Timatim for app which was very good. All enjoyed their meals – service was friendly and attentive. The place is rather modest and the a/c wasn’t working but it was easy to look past because of the food.
