I get that food cost is hurting restaurants but at least make me feel like it’s worth biting into. I try to support small/local chain businesses as much as possible but this place is teaching me a lesson to stick to my side of town.
They only have prices for individual items on the menu board, their “combos” don’t even tell you how much a small would be. HUGE RED FLAG! It felt like I was looking at a word search puzzle trying to piece together where the drink options were and sides which peaks my social anxiety when I’m thrown with the question of what my selection would be.
Window attendant at the drive thru seemed pretty nice but I wasn’t even offered ketchup nor had a chance to ask as I was passed the bag of food by another person.
My drink tasted like either the lines haven’t been cleaned in awhile or they aren’t mixing the syrup as much as I’m expecting.
Fries were nice and hot. Classic diner style where they’re just thick enough to notice the ones that are slightly undercooked or maybe still green before getting cut and yet just right enough to dip into a sauce (IF I WAS OFFERED ANY.)
“Burger” itself was built like a patty melt, not quiet a grilled cheese but makes you miss the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions that should come with it. All 2oz of the beef patty was cooked to microwaveable perfection that makes it safe for a child to eat and thin enough to toss out like a Frisbee. I guess that’s why they opted to not offer any more greens than the 3 slices of avocado I probably paid a few bucks for.
Maybe it’s just me and my hungry expectations or maybe there are others out there that will agree with me. Either way I will not be stopping by here any time soon when I’m passing thru. I enjoy diners and like finding local ones as I drive through different cities but if there are more places line these then I can’t help but download an app and order from bigger fast food spots. At least I know I’m ordering a relatively mediocre meal for under $15 without their deal.
