Had a great dining experience here! The restaurant was very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were generous. Everything came out quickly and we didn’t have to wait long. Overall, it was a great value and a wonderful place to eat. I will definitely come back again and recommend it to my friends.

This is the first time we visited since the restaurant was sold. The renovations are beautiful, and the food is incredible. My son and I ordered two lunch specials and tofu pad Thai. He ordered two milk teas. There was so much delicious food, it became two meals for us.
I read some of the reviews about how the restaurant is not as good as before (it was our favorite Chinese-American restaurant). It’s still good, just different. It’s still our favorite!
We’re definitely coming back regularly.

I ordered dinner specials today from the Albany park location, and to my surprise when I walked in I notice some remodeling had been done. When the cashier comes out from the back, I realize its an unfamiliar face and I was able to see unfamiliar faces in the kitchen. To my surprise…. They are new owners. I pick up my order and felt the bag wasn’t heavy, and the cashier said no soda included.
When I get home and I took out the 2 dinner specials I got very disappointed. First of all, they don’t use the foam trays anymore the served the dinner in the plastic containers. There was barely any food and the taste is totally different than the original See Thru. The egg foo young were very small and the brown gravy was not good to our taste. I have been ordering from See Thru for at least 20 years and I have never been unsatisfied as I was today. For those of you that have been ordering from there for years in the past, this is a heads up. I will try to post a picture of the dinner special I got. By the way the dinner special is $12.95 (I could be off a few cents, I threw away the receipt) they DID NOT serve $12.00 worth of food. No napkings, no fork no spoon in my order pick up.

We ordered the Orange Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, and Crab Rangoons. The Crab Rangoons were excellent, extra crispy and filled with more crab than cream cheese, which is exactly how I like them.
Everything was delicious and comforting. The orange chicken was perfectly cooked with a generous portion, and the fried rice paired with it so well.
Overall, this spot exceeded our expectations and has officially become our new go-to!

We’ve been ordering here for years, and I just found out it’s under new management and the food is 100% not the same. I ordered over the phone for pickup so I didn’t know it wasn’t the same til I arrived, but had already ordered so couldn’t back out. This place has been an Albany park gem for so long, but now it’s gone.
The combination plates don’t come with drinks anymore and they don’t put the same amount of food as before. Prices were about the same? Two Dinner specials and one almond cookie $29
Service was nice though. The inside looks nicer than before. Not the same nostalgia.

DO NOT get discouraged about the reviews from OLD past year customers. I had your food 1st time from seeing you on Tiktok. The ingredients are clearly fresh. The taste seems like the same old school taste from the og restaurants. Just because past customers don’t enjoy it as much means nothing they’re just not use to change. Clearly if the place was sold the past owners probably weren’t giving good quality products. Which happens its like when you put in your 2 weeks, you stop working and half ass it. The point is just because “foam” plates arent given when they order doesn’t mean the food is bad NEW OWNERS of course they’re going to change thing’s its business. Unless your going to buy the business then I’m sure you’d change thing’s around to your liking too. All in all whatever old customers doesn’t choose to stay you’ll receive 5 more off TIKTOK. Keep going & good luck.

The prices are affordable, and the portions are generous compared to other places, with fresh ingredients. I really liked that the oil used in the fried rice was clean, which added to the flavor. This was my second order, and I was pleased to find that the taste was consistently great, just like the first time. Highly satisfied!
