Let’s start with, I don’t live in Richmond. So.. this is an area that was an industrial area that has been reclaimed and transitioned into breweries. The veil/ remedy burgers gives a hipster vibe , obviously catering to the College/ early career crowd. Music was bumping. Neon signs, black, spare tables. Outdoor seating available. As a previous reviewer noted, the burgers are smaller, but IMHO not inappropriately so. I was perfectly full at the end. They are all smash burger style, incisive the broccoli burger. I ordered the broccoli burger and enjoyed it. It didn’t taste overtly broccoli. More like a nice veggie burger. No beans, no soy. The Ballard was also good. Both came out nice and hot. The large fries are about the size of a super size, and they come in a metal container which kept them nice and crisp and hot. Be mindful that parking is scarce in this area.

Remedy Burger did not quite live up to the hype suggested by its reviews. While the service was good, it was nothing exceptional, and the burgers themselves were average—certainly not bad, but not memorable either. In my opinion, this spot would be more accurately advertised as a brewery that serves burgers rather than a true burger destination. It may be solid by brewery standards, but when compared to dedicated burger shops, there is a lot left to be desired. This isn’t a negative experience overall, just one that falls squarely in the “nothing above average” category and should be recognized as such.

100% fantastic burger. The menu reads well, but the burgers taste better. We had a Remedy with bacon and a Classic. Bacon was crispy, toppings and buns fresh. Such a great meal. Benjamin told us their story, and how they got here from Staunton, while Star cooked our burgers to perfection! Highly recommend, and will definitely come here again. What a pairing with Veil beer!

Stellar burger, probably my new favorite in Scott’s addition. Recommend the original Remedy Burger, double! Maybe get an extra side of remedy sauce. It’s not a “messy” burger if that makes any sense, which I prefer!

Everything was great here at Remedy Burger. My boyfriend and I had a great time and the food came out pretty quickly. I loved the truffle sauce ins the fries as well. All that being said, the highlight of this trip for me was our interaction with Jewel! Jewel was incredibly patient and kind as she answered all of the questions I had about the different types of ales they had. She also gave me excellent recommendations on the burgers. Because of how thoroughly she described them, I 100% will be back for that onion burger (thanks girl!). I would recommend this for a cute date night, to be followed up by a lowkey beer crawl in Scott’s Addition.

I went there with a group from work. There was plenty of seating, and a GREAT beer selection. I ordered the Remedy Burger, as it was my first time there and I wanted to try it out. I asked to have it without the bun, and without missing a beat, the server said “would you like it on a bed of greens?” – just what I wanted to hear! The food was ready quickly and it was delicious! The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the remedy sauce on the side was the perfect thing to dip them in. I will definitely be back with my family!

The burger was charred to hell. I realize it’s a smash burger but still, it shouldn’t have been nearly as crunchy as it was. The middle was kinda good at least. Overall I wasn’t impressed. I left wishing I had gone to Eazzy Burger down the street or a different smash burger place. I was really hoping to like this place because Veil beer is top notch.

One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time! I ordered the Oklahoma Onion Burger (I think that’s the name), and it was perfection—caramelized onions cooked just right, a perfectly smashed patty, and a buttery bun that didn’t even need sauce—and I’m definitely a sauce person. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the manager, Dustin, stood out as both kind and a great leader. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a delicious burger and the perfect hangout spot!
