The food was outstanding — rich, authentic flavors that truly felt like a taste of Italy. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were fresh and well-balanced, and every bite felt comforting and satisfying.

The ambiance was cozy and charming, making it perfect for a relaxed dinner. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall experience.

If you’re craving real Italian cuisine made with care and quality ingredients, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return!

This one of my favorite spots to eat when I’m in New York. The food is fantastic. Aranchini is always on my mind when I’m here. The menu has really nice fish, meat and pasta choices. The staff are incredibly attentive, orders come really fast, like amazingly fast. Everytime I’ve been here I have had extremly positive experiences- will always come back

Your walking down the street in NY there are a million Italian restaurants around every corner, the standards are skyscraper high, everyone is competing for space for the next big thing, the next meal, and you step into Tavola to escape for as long as the meal will allow. It’s exactly as you would want an Italian restaurant in midtown New York to be, quaint, classic, and stunning in its unique twist on Italian. Their pillow soft gnocchi were exactly that, I myself have a gluten allergy (I know what am I even doing on NY with that right?) and Tavola, oh Tavola, they have one of the best gluten free pies I have every tasted. I’m not sure if they make their gluten free pizza dough onsite or not, and honestly I don’t care either way it’s phenomenal and I’m sad I can’t be a regular to indulge in its perfection. Their arugula salad is also to die for. Do yourself a favor and give these people your service, they will not disappoint and the world needs them to be in business for as long as possible!

NYC has always been a bucket list place for us to visit from Pittsburgh !!! We were not let down!!! This restaurant was hands down the best Italian we’ve ever had!!!! The focaccia bread, to the chicken and pasta!!! It’s better than 10 stars! It’s an absolute must if you’re in NYC!!!! Thank you for having us!!

There is a rule that $15 per person must be spent. We were a party of 6 and we were unaware when we arrived, and when the waiter told us about it, he was rude. We were going to spend $15/pp regardless, but we MUST tell the full order as soon as you arrive. They will not accept orders in pieces, which was explained to us in a not very polite way. The food itself was amazing, we had 4 pizzas (one of them nutella) and the taste was great. Very thin pizza.
If you don’t mind the service and you’re just looking for a good pizza place, you should try.

This is about as close to perfect as it gets. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are out of this world.

If you are into gluten-free spaghetti this is absolutely the spot. Try the gluten-free bread as well!

And be sure to try the chocolate mousse. I would give six stars if I could.

Visited Tavola tonight for the first time while visiting NYC for the weekend and enjoyed great pizza and dessert! The margherita pizzas were the perfect size 1-1.5 people and the chocolate espresso mousse was fabulous. Fast service and we were seated immediately as a party of 2! Like most nyc locations, it’s a bit petite inside, so prepare to not have too much room at your table.

Tavola has a warm, inviting atmosphere and the staff was genuinely friendly throughout our visit. However, the food unfortunately did not live up to the setting. We ordered the pasta with eggplant, which was very disappointing in both flavor and texture. The pappardelle bolognese was also quite mediocre and lacked depth. It’s a convenient spot if you’re already in Midtown and need somewhere casual to sit down. But overall, the food quality falls short of expectations.

Walked in weekday dinner as looked busy walking by. Two showcase tables street side before door. Long communal table and bar further in. Old school decor in-line with long history.

Obvious many regulars. Likely less crowded weekday lunch. Happy hour ends early at 5pm.
Dinner at 6pm asked to leave in 1 hour. Stream of customers.

Food is great. Salumu and cheese with olives reliable starter paired well with house chianti.
Pizza brick oven. Dough chewy perfect. Asked bolognese sauce spaghetti instead. Not too salty, also perfect.
Next table ordered mare with much seafood. Will order next time.
Tiramisu and decaf cappuccino hit the spot.

Server was cordial uplifting. Only spec didn’t know soda fountain refill charged again. Small change but, if so, would have expect bottle or can.
