Food was delicious! Our server was amazing – always made sure our drinks were full and checked in to make sure everything was going well. It is an old church so the atmosphere is beautiful and feels like you are in Italy!

This restaurant has been here for about 19 years. I have never seen it before last night. We were looking for a new Italian place and came across Nuova Italia. I am glad we did. The quality of food and portion size are a very good value. Its about what you would pay at Biaggi’s. the food is much better and more authentic tasting (imo). It does look like they have a major leak in the celling in the middle of the restaurant. It wasn’t anything that made me question the food safety or anything. Its just a little distracting from the beautiful aesthetics of the historic building.

Very nice restaurant. The fact that it’s an old church makes it that much more of a neat experience. Our waiter, Paul, wasn’t as friendly as I’m used to, but he did check on us and made sure everything was OK. We sat in the upstairs balcony area, and he was the only server up there. There was no bar up there, so he had to keep going downstairs for drinks….as well as the food orders. He did get a little behind on orders and checks, but did get caught up. We were there about 2 hours for dinner and dessert. We are looking forward to going back to try the pizza….and to sit downstairs. Food was huge portion and was absolutely amazing.

Absolutely delicious food with great service! We went for a birthday and received a free slice of tiramisu, which was delicious! The split pea soup and minestrone was also great! I highly recommend the lasagna, seafood linguine, raw oysters, and chicken marsala. The inside was a beautiful old church. Wood fired pizza too! We didn’t try it but it looked really good. Perfect spot for some authentic Italian food.

We happened to find this place when looking for a new restaurant to try over the holiday weekend. The menu, building and location picqued our interest so we headed over there. Cut to the ending…all the food was very good. Service was a bit slow and waitress was not super friendly but who cares. I am there for the food and we were not disappointed. We are definitely heading back in the future.

Yesterday my family (7 people) and I went to your restaurant for dinner for the first time. When we arrived, everything seemed fine, but once the food came, several problems started.
My plate was dirty and my daughter boyfriend was dirty too.
My daughter’s gnocchi had no flavor.
My wife’s ravioli and my other daughter’s dish were both cold.
My son’s margherita pizza had no mozzarella.
There was no more bread available, and soda refills were very slow (though the water refills were good).
The restaurant’s atmosphere and presentation suggest a higher-quality experience, but unfortunately, the food was cold and lacked flavor. To make things worse, my daughter woke up today with stomach pain.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience for a Saturday dinner, and I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve for future guests.

Food is not great, not bad but fairly oily. The atmosphere is nice; very historic building, so that is unique and creates an enjoyable ambiance. The service was a let down. We’re seated for approximately 20 minutes before someone asked if we might want to order a cocktail while we waiting for one more person in our group to arrive. Server seemed overwhelmed and was quite apologetic when she eventually did help us out. Seems like a family run small business so I give them a bit of grace with a 4 star, but really more of a 3 star experience.

Should have stayed a church! We were seated and after an extended time the waitress comes up and says “are you ready to order”? We said no but we would like some coffee. Not ” Hi! My name is soandso I’ll be serving you tonight, may I get you something to drink?’ We get the coffee and it tasted like well water mud. I looked up and the ceiling is praling paint all over the place and where the wood fired oven was had flour all over the floor and out into the restaurant.

This was the second time my family and I decided to dine at Nova, hoping to give the restaurant another chance after a disappointing first visit. Unfortunately, we left feeling even more dissatisfied.
The staff was dismissive when we politely mentioned that our food was not fresh and seemed improperly cooked. It’s surprising that a restaurant promoting itself as a “fine dining” establishment would show such little regard for quality or guest experience.
We truly wanted to enjoy our time here, but after giving Nova another chance and facing the same issues, we won’t be returning and cannot recommend it to others!!
