Super delicious food my first time eating in a Filipino restaurant that we had the noodles divine! Really scrumptious so good actually we came back two days in a row!
We had jackfruit which I had never had in a savory dish it was really really fantastic.
Then we had like a chicken stew and then we had a roast beef stew.
And the bananas were phenomenal their sweet plantain fried and some type of a crispy wrapper.
Highly recommend going here and everyone was very helpful the customers were helping us before we got to the counter so we would know what to order and what everything was. In total we’ve gone there three times every time is delicious

I’ve dined in many local Filipino restaurants like Felynn’s, Renee’s, Susanne Kitchen, and Lumpia & Company. But Ihaw Ihaw has the most flavorful dishes than the rest of them. They are definitely not shy when adding sauces and spices. It’s so strong that even days after eating it, I still taste it. If I get to critic one bad thing about this place though, is the serving size which seems small. They literally use a puny little styro cup for their entrees, almost the same size as a shot glass. It’s very small but the prices are very affordable!! 2 entrees with free soup is still $10.99, they never changed the price since they opened. The restaurant itself seems fine to me. Though I usually DoorDash them all the time.

Did not know this gem even existed but I am glad I found it. Got lunch here with my family and they were so kind and accommodating. The halo halo was amazing. Their longanisa also has no dyes!!

$24 for 10 pieces of pork barbecue. Good value, great people, a even better tasting food than other restaurants in hampton roads.

This review is just about the breakfast I had. The other dishes may be nice, but I only had breakfast.
I ordered longsilog.
The longaniza was fine. Everything else was a disaster. The eggs were precooked and overcooked. You can see the grey around the yolk. Oily, not buttery. The garlic rice still had a raw garlic taste. Silog is simple, but it takes some care. Unfortunately, there was no care.

The food was really good very delicious! The place was clean! Worth stopping by for sure! Definitely had the Filipino fiesta dishes options, they have big serving of meal and price was very reasonable. Even my American husband enjoyed and loved his meal! We ordered, menudo, pork steak, chicken abodo, sisig , empanada and cassava cake!
The hour’s brought as in and the food will bring us back when we get in the area again!

Ihaw-ihaw restaurant is good enough, authentic enough, and authentically greasy Filipino cafeteria. It would have been better experience for us if they actually have all the things posted on their menu like the lumpia, sisig platter, crispy pata, and steamed siopao. So, we ordered pansit platter which is supposed to come with lumpia, but they were out. So, it was subbed with pork adobo. We also ordered two of the 2-entry platters, and we picked all pork dishes: binaguongan, dinuguan, menudo, and sinigang broth which also came with 3 cups of steamed rice. We have a go to Filipino cafeteria, and we pretty much base our judgment with their cooking because they are really good. Comparing Ihaw-ihaw with them, Ihaw-ihaw is cheaper, but servings are smaller; place is not as crowded, yet the service is very slow; food tasted okay, greasy, but not salty which is a plus for me. Also, their pansit is not as good; it’s very bland. Will I be back? Yes, especially if my favorite place is packed and very busy. Ihaw-ihaw has the potential to be as good with menu updates and effective scheduling of servers. And yes, we got prepackaged desserts, ube sweet rice cake(Biko), palitaw (pinoy sweet mochi) and cassava cake the coconut juice in can for drinks. So overall, this place is good and authentic enough.

My Mother and I had our meal DoorDash on this past Saturday. Delicious! My mother had the Crispy Pata with pancit. I had the pick 3 entrees with pancit as my base. And we ordered 15 pieces lumpia. The food was still hot when it arrived. We had enough for leftovers . You can try different items if you have never had them before. Great! We will order again

Tapsilog was delicious. Cashier gave recommendations, and the price for the amount of food was an excellent deal. Love that they have vinegar and other sauces available as well.

The food at Ihaw Ihaw Filipino Cuisine is overall great, though there are a few hits and misses. The adobo leans on the sweet side, almost reminiscent of asado, which might not appeal to traditionalists. The fried fish was served cold, which was disappointing, but their garlic rice was absolutely superb—fluffy, flavorful, and addictive.
The service truly embodies Filipino hospitality—warm, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming, which adds a lot to the dining experience.
On the downside, their restrooms left much to be desired: dirty and smelly. While this might align with the unfortunate norm for some places in Virginia Beach, it could be a dealbreaker for those who prioritize cleanliness.
If you can overlook the restroom situation, the food, service, and authentic vibe are worth a visit, especially if you’re craving Filipino flavors.
