Celebrated for their thin-crust and diversified pizzas, and toppings ranging from classic to creative, Camelo became one of the most traditional pizza restaurants of São Paulo Brazil. Opened in 1957, in Pamplona street – Jardins, Camelo started as an Arab restaurant. Six years later, when acquired by the Nóbrega Family, the restaurant underwent significant menu changes and started serving wood-fire pizzas and other special dishes, such as the famous deep fried chicken (a passarinho) and beef sirloin stroganoff.

We came for the first time last weekend with the family, this place was recommended by a friend because we love Brazilian pizza. We loved EVERYTHING!! From the moment we walked in the lady that welcomed us and our server were very nice and friendly. Our server made sure we didn’t need anything and the food was OMG! I don’t have a word to describe it! The fried chicken wings were my favorite! Everything was really good! Including the espresso we had at the end. The only thing I want to let the restaurant know is, the ladies restroom was locked or someone took 30 mins in the bathroom. Because we had to leave after dinner, we waited and waited to use the restroom and nobody came out. But we will definitely come back again. And if we need the restrooms I will bring to someone’s attention. Having one bathroom and it being locked for such a big establishment was weird. But it was still an amazing visit.

The food smelled delicious when it arrived and was still pretty warm.
Then we opened the first pizza box and disappointment was the theme of the meal. The crust looked like it was barely cooked. Instead of sauce it appeared that only crushed tomatoes were used.
We each had one slice and could barely take a second bite.
The chicken was also gross.
We spent over $100 for a very disappointing meal.
At the time of this review, this restaurant had a rating of 4.7.

Our family had an incredible dinner at Camelo! The pizza was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. A huge shoutout to Duda, our amazing hostess, who went above and beyond. She was so patient with our group, answering all our menu questions and helping each of us craft our own perfect pizzas. She even nailed the drink recommendations—the lime caipirinha was sweet, smooth, and refreshing. Excellent food and even better service. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Orlando.

Overall, it was an average experience—not bad, just not memorable. It’s worth a try if you’re curious, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

Can I give 10 stars for service? I got there late and the bartender took my order to go. I was so excited to eat this in the US. The quality was the same and so delicious!!!

The inside of the restaurant is very nice. We got a 10 inch pizza that was about 35-40 bucks which was honestly very average (thin and flimsy pizza that reminded me of a frozen pizza you put in the oven at home). The servers were about as cold as my iced water. Most likely won’t be coming back.

Very unassuming exterior with heavily tinted windows. Stepped inside and was pleasantly surprised by the upscale decor. The staff were top notch. Noticed while reviewing the limited menu that they had only a few appetizers. Ordered a pepperoni and margarita pizzas. The perfectly cooked thin crust with ample cheese and toppings were out of this world. Finished the meal by sharing lava cake and combo nutella/strawberry and banana dessert pizza. They were both very good. Only the freshest ingredients and quality cheeses are used. Google gives a cost rating of one dollar sign. It should be at least a two if not three due to the price of pizzas (10 inch $21, 12 inch $26, and 14 inch $31). Outstanding quality restaurant that deserves high marks.

This place is pricey for pizza…but everything was perfect. Everything we ordered was awesome. The vegetarian pizza had pickled heart of palms that made it stand out from any other veggie pizza I’ve ever had. Great idea. My “Rio” pizza was excellent, with turkey, tomatoes, catupiry and other cheese that all complemented each other. My coconut caipirinha was the best I’ve ever had. Service was very good. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time.
I guess my only complaint is that I’ve had bigger portions at a different Brazilian pizzeria for similar dishes. But at the same time this quality is much higher and the restaurant is more calm and has a good atmosphere. It really comes down to what kind of night you’re looking for when you’re craving Brazilian style pizza. For a chill, quality meal, this is the spot.

Great pizza with lots of flavor and fresh ingredients. It is a little pricey but worth it. You can get 3 different kinds of pizza on a large pizza. We had the caprese, Brazilian sausage and meat lovers and all of them were amazing.
