My wife and I stumbled upon Angelo’s while looking for a place to eat – we were staying at the nearby KOA. Just sitting in a strip mall, we weren’t expecting too much but left having had one of the best dining experiences ever. Walking in the door, you get a look right into the kitchen where the chef is making each meal to order. There’s maybe 12 tables in the whole place and they were all full, so we had about a 15 min wait for a spot. We ordered some wine while waiting and just watched the operation. They were shorthanded a server, so things were moving slow, but the customers didnt seem to mind and noticed that nearly everyone leaving made an effort to thank all the staff. We ordered the chicken piccata and alla angello. Both dishes were some of the best we’ve ever had. Just be patient though – the kitchen makes each meal from scratch so a full house means you’re gonna wait a bit for your food. Its worth the wait. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and all at a very reasonable price. I just wish we didnt live half-way across the country.
YOU BETTER REMEMBER WHAT YOU ORDERED & how much !!!!!!
Wife got baked zitti and my son got chicken parm.Desert was
I hadn’t been back for a while due to the experience I had in my first visit in 2017. Since that time, I have been back to this place several times. Things have definitely changed for the better since my first visit.
From the outside, when you come up to the place, it looks like a simple place on the outside. There are a few tables outside for seating as well, but it is pretty limited. It’s not hard to see on the outside in the shopping center with the red and green colors.
When I came with my mom, it was an off peak time of day, so there wasn’t anyone else seated when we came in. They said we could choose any table inside and that a server would be over shortly. As expected, that happened and she asked us what we wanted to drink. I went with water and my mom went with Coke, so they carry Coke products here. The menu has more options than when I first visited in 2017 as well.
After she came back with the drinks, she asked if we were ready to order and we were. I had ordered a Stromboli with Pepperoni and my mom ordered a Calzone with Pepperoni. While waiting for our orders to come out, our server brought us some bread and butter. The bread and butter were really good too. The bread was very soft. The butter packets were nearly frozen though, so it did take a bit of thawing of the butters,
About 7-10 minutes later, our entrées came out to the table. The only mistake was that they did both as calzones instead of one calzone and one Stromboli. I didn’t bring it up since either one would still be good. The calzone was really good too. It was filled with lots of cheese and pepperoni. I ended up taking half of it home to have as a lunch the following day. After we were done, she did bring us a few boxes over and asked if we wanted any desserts. We declined as we were pretty full already and didn’t need anything else.
Overall, this has been a much better experience than my very first one here. The food and service were on point. They have an expanded menu now compared to 2017, so it’s great to have more options too. With great food and service on this visit, I will definitely be back more often now. You should come check them out too if you are in the area.
