Relaxed, family-owned joint serving wood-fired pies with creative toppings plus gelato & beer.

Food was delicious. Portions were huge, and although everyone else was getting the $9.95 spaghetti with meatballs, there were too many interesting things on the menu. Couldn’t hardly get to the pizza, so breakfast pizza!

I stopped into this place for a slice because Johnny T’s was closed for a few weeks. The gentleman greeted me at the door and asked how many? I was really just looking for a slice but had to grab a table and service. That wasn’t soo bad and he was nice enough. The pizza was topped with Oregano or Italian seasoning which really should be optional. It’s not my thing. The crust was doughy and sub par. The overall quality of the food was not great. There are definitely better places you can find nearby with better food. Not looking to return.

Il Capo Pizzeria in Scottsdale is an absolute gem. The pizza was phenomenal—perfectly cooked crust, high-quality toppings, and flavors that feel both classic and elevated. You can tell real care goes into every pie.
The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it a great spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. I also want to give a special shoutout to the bus boy, Shindo Begay. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly, which really added to the overall experience.
Between the amazing food and the excellent service, Il Capo Pizzeria is easily a place I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!

Great place, very good pizza. We had the 18” Meatballs pizza. As you can see, it’s absolutely gigantic. We couldn’t finish it

Food is pretty good, we really like the pizza.
The service is terrible if they are even a little bit busy. I went in and sat at the bar tonight and was completely ignored. Waiters kept coming behind the bar to get drinks and didn’t even say a word. I sat for a long while and finally ordered takeout at the counter. Still waiting. Probably won’t be back. They probably will be wondering this summer where the locals are.

Excellent little pizza place. Really cool authentic vibe inside. Prices are very reasonable and servings are substantial. The food was all excellent. Pizza was cooked perfect and very flavorful. Calzone was huge, soft, and delicious. The Arancini was so good and like nothing I’ve had. The wine was fantastic and half off on Wednesday for the bottle. Our waiter Deangelo was the only server and bartender for the whole place and he did great. He was attentive, friendly, and very informative. I can’t wait to eat here again and try some of the other things on the menu.

Ok, the first time here.
Ordered a couple of slices of the pizzas that had on display.
I personally was not impressed on the flavoring. Seemed a little bland to me. now, is my taste bud the same as yours, maybe not so, try it on your own. Just my opinion.
The staff was very nice so, I like that for sure.
The place has a chill atmosphere but, it was also just after lunch time and empty.
I didn’t try the Gelato but, might have to go back for that, just not the pizza.
Weather is great for their outdoor seating right now.

Absolutely no complaints across the table!! Everything was incredible and so much bang for your buck! Diangelo the waiter/bartender/host was an absolute rockstar and was a lot of fun and a joy to meet. The food was fantastic and banger portions! I got the Calzone with Mixed Greens Salad (I managed 1/4 of the Calzone and am thrilled to have left overs!), my 13y/o got the Cauliflower Crust Pizza with Bacon/Pepperoni/Chicken (as a GF teen he has a hard time finding good food sometimes but he loved this pizza and was thrilled he had choices!). My husband got the Fig and Prosciutto Pizza (“it was great, fantastic, amazing”), and my 10y/o got the kids Spaghetti with Meatball (ate the whole thing and wanted seconds!) Would absolutely go back!

This is my second review of Il Capo. The food is amazing. I know eat here at least once a week. The pizza is great. The pasta is next level. The deserts are (gelato) awesome. The service was a bit lacking, but that is fixed now. Please try this restaurant. It is one of Scottsdale’s best.

Just popped into Il Capo for a little pizza and wine after a long workday. Michael was great- recommended the pesto pizza which I really enjoyed. Service is always good here. Definitely try the pizza, arancini and orecchiette (which my favorite)
