Even in torrential rains it’s still a wonderful place to camp! Remember to be prepared with several tarps to keep some dry cover over your picnic table and tent. Buy wood for a fire at the IGA in Townsend for $6 a bundle because it cost $9 at the camp store!
Reservations are required for almost all of the sites.
The camp store does have some food items for lunch and dinner but very limited. Store hours are 9am to 5pm. A hot dog is $4…. The store sells a large variety of souvenirs and t-shirts etc.

Nice little store for souvenirs , foods , snacks and drinks. Their veggie burger there was the best we ever had.It was so good that we bought it twice, once before starting the Cades cove loop and one after completing it. The store has a nice collection of gift items and souvenirs magnets, badges etc.

Soft serve ice cream isn’t my favorite, but it still hits the spot since they have a good variety of toppings. Staff was very friendly.

Very nice shop! People were so nice letting our puppies come in. I carried mine… didn’t want him to knock over breakables. Hot food and cold ice cream was available. Great souvenirs, lots of variety! Parking was fine and the bathrooms wasn’t too bad.

We took a graduation trip to Wears Valley and biking Cades cove was on our to do list! We are so glad we did it!! Woke up and got there for 7am when the park opened! Almost had the place to ourselves and the animals! We definitely recommend renting bikes if you are traveling! Such an easy process and rental experience

We rented bikes and everyone that worked there was really nice and helpful and had a sense of humor. We did the 11 mile bike ride and didn’t see any bear but saw a couple deer and Turkeys. The drive there was also beautiful.

Awesome place to bike! Happy wild life everywhere. Be careful with the amount of cars queued up though. Make sure to visit every trail there is always a suprise on every bend!

We were camping and were able to do the 24 hour bike rental. Wonderful to ride the Cades Cove loop with no cars and experience the wildlife in the cool evening hours. The bikes were well maintained and the staff extremely helpful and friendly.
