Relaxed, modern place with a wide range of classic sushi, specialty rolls & cooked Japanese dishes.

We’ve been looking for someplace to eat near the airport that isn’t bar food or chain fast food. This place was great. I had the chicken in balsamic teriyaki. The takeout containers kept the chicken, veggies, and rice separate from the sauce. Nice. Veggies were done to perfection. My wife had sushi and said it was the best tuna she’s had.

We went here for dinner and had Chicken Cashew and Three green chicken. Both entrees came with rice or fried rice as an upgrade. We also had edamame and asparagus roles as appetizers. The food was good and well prepared. We have been there before and the food was amazing. This time it tasted very unseasoned and was not very good.
I guess you can be lucky or as we were today, unlucky.
The service was good too. The portions were on the larger side, so we took take home boxes with us.

We got here late and I didn’t realize they’re almost closing. It’s a Saturday so I assumed they would be open a little late and not at 10.
We ordered several apps: calamari, szechuan dumplings and pork gyoza. I also ordered the lemon grass soup. The gyoza and the calamari (perfectly fried and crispy) were very good. The szechuan dumpling tasted odd and also just swimming in oil. The lemon grass soup was ok but I was thankful I ordered this and I’ll tell you why later.
For entrée, we ordered the crunchy roll, Thai spicy lime shrimp and chicken yaki udon. All of these three are too sweet and this is why I was thankful I got the soup. My daughter and I sipped on the soup to counter the sweetness of our food since the soup was sour. My niece also did not finish her udon because it was also too sweet.
On the plus side, our server was very nice and accommodating. We came in late but she was very gracious.

Ordered a variety of items, all shared by 2 people. Everything was delicious. Service was great and food came out fast. We had Miso soup, Age Dashi Tofu, Seared Tuna apps. A Pink Dragon roll and an Oshinko roll and Thai Shrimp/Veggie dish w/ key lime sauce. Lots of veggies, which we really appreciated.

Disappointing. Let me start with the positives. Our server Mary was outstanding. Drinks were moderately priced. Unfortunately we found the food unflavorful, unimaginative and in one case just boring. We started with the dumplings which were small and lacked flavor we shared the Three Chicken entree. The chicken chunks were large dry cubes of white chicken. Again little flavor and no sauce to help with the dryness. We had two sushi rolls which lacked any character or substantial size of fish. These guys need to figure out how to serve something that has some uniqueness.

I was really happy with the sushi boat I received. I ordered some spicy tuna, the King Kong roll, the Godzilla roll, and another roll. All were tasty, the two specialty rolls were incredible, needed no extra wasabi or soy. Ordered wontons as well, we’re delicious. The staff was kind and very attentive. Food came out relatively fast. Overall I would recommend this restaurant and will be going there again. I’ll be trying the other specialty roles! Plus the boat is a really nice feature that adds to the vibe and setting of the restaurant. A lot of nice garnish as well on all the plates.

Stopped here for a meal before the airport and really enjoyed it! The fried rice was very plain but the sushi was fantastic. We got the shrimp tempura roll and the spicy tuna and thoroughly enjoyed both. Also liked the vegetable tempura, I thought the portions were pretty decent.

Friday night… its busy… but we were seated near host station. Noisy, and seemed to be forgotten about. Waitress forgot to put in partbof our order. Took 20 minutes for it to arrive.
I dont recommend Sakana on a Friday night.

If you’re looking for authentic Japanese food, Sakana delivers. The sushi is excellent. I ordered a few other appetizers and they all came out promptly and were good. My only complaint is the price…it’s a bit steep compared to the other offerings nearby but the quality and service make up for that.
But yeah, the quality is always top notch here. I’ve never had a bad experience and definitely recommend eating here.
