Fil-Thai is our favorite go to restaurant in Cookeville! We went there this time to celebrate something amazing Jesus did in our lives. Best Thai food in the area. We splurged this time and got the Tour platter. It had our favorite dishes, and it was so much food we had many leftovers. The Thai tea is so good! Crab ragoons are the best we’ve ever had. Don’t miss out on some of the best food in Cookeville, and the service is always wonderful too. Portions are also huge. Thank you Fil-Thai for becoming our comfort food and the way we celebrate!❤️

Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy my entrée at all. I have chicken adobo and pandit. I was disappointed with both. I lived next door to a filipino restaurant for years, so I was excited to get chicken adobo. It is hard to find in most areas. It was a letdown. The vinegar overpowered the taste of everything. The lumpia were tasty and, the server was very friendly.

Easy to find and it’s in a good location. The host/server was friendly but the other workers seemed inconvenienced by our presence. The place had an interesting selection for music; this is a Thai and Filipino restaurant and they are playing Hispanic music that one would expect at a texmex restaurant. I guess it was kind of funny. The food was the biggest disappointment, particularly the entrees. The lechon kawali was terrible. The best part of the dish was the green onions on the rice. Seriously was a 2/10; the pork belly was cold and seemed like it had been sitting for hours before being served. My wife’s dish, the BBQ skewer was decent. Maybe a 5/10. Our friend got the drunken noodles and they were slightly better. 6/10. The best part was the fried rice, I’d give it a solid 8/10. The lumpia was disappointing. 3/10. The crab Rangoon was a solid 7/10. The Thai tea and Thai coffee were both very good. 9/10. My wife is from the Philippines and we were excited to try this location because we have no Filipino restaurant in my area. We left disappointed. We will not be back. My wife can cook way better than this restaurant any day of the week. Save your hard earned money and find another location that wants you to eat there and actually shows love for their food.

Me and my Wife have been loving Fil Thai for a couple years now and they still have proven themselves an excellent Thai restaurant!
Allow me to elaborate…
I ordered for take out a few weeks ago and asked them for zero spice (we don’t handle spice well above 1). I grabbed the food and when I got home we started eating and our mouths were on fire. It must have been level 3 spice.
I know so far this seems like a bad review, but here me out…
I called them and let them know what happened and they offered us a replacement order free of charge. I told them since we live about 40 min away we wouldn’t be able to pick it up that night. They said that was perfectly fine and that they would write my name down and when I’m ready I can come and pick the free order up.
There was an ice storm for about a week right after so two weeks later I call them, tell them who I am and what happened and the gentleman on the phone (he wasn’t the same one before) said “Yeah we can do that for you.”
We arrive and they had the food ready for us and they were super nice. I tested it before I went home and it was zero spice!
And the portions were even bigger than normal!
All of this to say, as if we didn’t already love Fil Thai, but after this, I have gained even more respect for them. They will continue to see us for years to come.
My only request to the Fil Thai staff on behalf of my wife: PLEASE BRING BACK THE PAD SEE EW

Tasty food with HUGE potion sizes. I had the Pad Kee Mao and would recommend. Spice level 4/5 was tolerable if you like spice.

The food is incredible, I wish we lived closer we would be regulars. I encourage Cookeville to try this authentic mix of Filipino and Thai food. Affordable and delicious. Service was above and beyond.

I went in to pickup a to go order and the worker working the counter when putting my food in the bag spilled it right in front of me on the floor and in the bag and still sent me off with it, and the food looks like it was just thrown in there. I have had their food and it’s good, but the way it looks is filthy.

It was my first time trying Thai food, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The woman who served me had some fantastic suggestions. I enjoyed the BBQ plate and a variety of Thai appetizers, and everything came out quickly and piping hot! I can’t wait to come back and explore more items on the menu!

I got the drunken fried rice, no eggs, with tofu and it was fantastic for a vegan option. So good. I will be back.
