I don’t recommend it. I never do bad reviews but this time I think people have to know. I asked for a hamburger just cut in the middle, because I wanted to share with my bestie we like to find original Mexican food. Well the waiter was really rude, but we didn’t say nothing. And then this is how she brought us the hamburger. And also the tamal was rock hard.

DO NOT EAT HERE YOU WILL GET SICK. My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite and it may have been the biggest mistake we’ve ever made. This was eight days ago and we are just now getting over being sick. I went and used the restroom, and when I came back out I noticed right next to the CLEANING SUPPLIES AND THE BATHROOM they had all of their meats and sauces sitting on a PVC table with no coverings on them. The cook in the back kept coughing and giving us dirty looks while we ate. Mind you, we were also the only people in the entire place which should’ve been our first red flag.

Went for gorditas but they said they only had a few options for burritos, I asked for rojo and chicharon and got my order wrong, I was like oh well and decided to just eat it but the tortillas were cold and hard and the the food itself was cold and tasted bland. Family didnt want it so now I’m across the street buying more food at Banderas. What a waste of money. Will not be going back and do not recommend

Ate two gorditas one picadillo and other red asado put a little salsa on them just a little picadillo was ok but lacked flavor I expected a real gordita not a flat piece of corn tortilla the asada also lacked flavor super spicy put two dots of red Chile they gave us didn’t want it to be spicy I am regretting now looks like I ended with food poisoning terrible stomach pain bad acid reflux nausea and feeling of throwing up chills . Now reading reviews for this place so regretting it looks like health code violations are common here do not recommend this place at all rating a zero if I could but at last can only rate one star. I would highly NOT recommend this place. You had 2 employee’s handling cash, touching their face masks, picking up and putting down objets, while touching customer’s food orders without washing hands or wearing gloves. When I say touching, BARE hands. You had a tall guy, possibly the owner or manager, who was ordering the employees around doing the same thing. While all this was going on, you had a produce delivery person putting onions on the floor, where the employees, owner/manager, and delivery person are walking through. If you don’t believe individuals who leave reviews, and you want to eat at places like this establishment. Please verify that these things are happening, for paying customers who want to eat at places that uphold good hygiene practices. I highly do NOT recommend this place.

My first meal here has been delightful. The picadillo corn gorditas are generously portioned and the accompanying sides of rice and beans are fresh, light and delicious. Conveniently located in the small shopping center behind the Valero gas station at the intersection of San Elizario Rd. And Alameda and a short drive from Socorro. Im looking forward to exploring the menu again soon.

Ordered one bistek burrito and it was terrible. The meat seamed as if it was leftovers from 3 days prior. GREASY and I’ve never have bought a skinny burrito for $4.22. I don’t recommend this place and I won’t be going back.
