Customer Feedback for Improvement
I wanted to share some feedback from my recent first-time visit in hopes that it will be helpful for improving both the flavor and service experience. I was initially excited to try your restaurant based on the great reviews, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations.
We ordered the Oxtail meal ($25), which only came with rice. While my husband enjoyed it, I believe the meal would be more balanced and appealing if it included at least one vegetable or side to complement the dish.
I chose the 2-piece whiting meal with mac & cheese and collard greens ($19). Unfortunately, the whiting tasted bland and had a frozen texture rather than fresh. The mac & cheese was heavily seasoned with pepper, which overwhelmed any other flavors, and while the collard greens had a nice texture, they were quite salty and lacked depth of flavor if the salt was removed. On a positive note, the candied yams were enjoyable and helped balance out the saltiness of the greens.
Lastly, the garlic nuggets seemed to be standard frozen nuggets topped with butter, garlic, and parmesan—lacking the homemade or unique quality I was hoping for.
I truly appreciate the effort that goes into running a food establishment and hope this feedback can be helpful as you continue to grow. I believe there’s a lot of potential here, and with a few adjustments, the experience could match the glowing reviews that led me to try it in the first place.

First timer here trying Amazing Taste and overall, it was tasty. Their service was amazing, very friendly. I enjoyed the honey BBQ wings and candied yams. I do appreciate the texture and quality of fresh yams verse canned yams and they were definitely not canned yams. I ordered fried shrimp on the side and it was a bit on the salty side. I would try again, next time their fried fish dinner.

I look at all these 5 star reviews, and I question if its really possible for comfort food to be that good? The answer is a very solid YES!
So I’ve only ever gotten the oxtail, and probably always will. Available on friday/weekends only, this entree with rice is cooked to tender perfection with homey seasonings. Finger smacking nom.
Pair it up with any of their sides (one of the few places where you actually WANT to order string beans or greens), or their amazing fried empanadas (bbq or jerk chicken). Mac & cheese yes. Fries yes. Such simple things but they do it all so well.
Inside has about 5 table areas, lots of beverage choices, and has tablets for easy ordering or takeout. Plus friendly staff always puts out a friendly vibe.

I’d honestly give this place a 4.5/5 if I could! The food here is consistently impressive. The Mac & Cheese is exactly what you want it to be, and the fries are always well-seasoned and crispy. As for the jerk chicken, it’s cooked perfectly and packed with flavor.
However, the real star of the show is the jerk sauce. In the past, the portions have been great, but my order today was a little light on the sauce. Please don’t hold back on it! It’s the best part of the meal and the main reason I keep coming back to Amazing Taste. Even if it’s got a serious kick, I can handle the heat.. the more sauce, the better!

Man this isn’t soul.food this food is Soul-Less the only thing good about the meal was the hot sauce, the chicken was 7/11 style chicken that’s insane for a soul food place extremely disappointed overall Mid 2 out of 5.. might give it one more shot but probably not… the service was cool but food not it man

The first thing I hear when I walk in is the cashier telling someone he spit in his food. I then wait 5 minutes before I get service because everyone is fooling around and not paying attention. I then proceed to wait 20 mins for food that was order 15 mins ago. The staff were not practicing any safe sanitation measures, no gloves, nobody washed their hands between foods. Disgusting and rude service would not recommend

If you’re thinking about coming here, RUN! The food is amazing ( as the name implies). I was genuinely surprised because I had a bad experience at another location. I am so glad we tried again, everything was piping hot and delicious. The store was clean, staff was friendly & we ate right in the car. I thought I’d wait to get home but it smelled too good and I fell in love. I will be back, and soon! ❤️

Amazing doesn’t even cover it. Ordered Oxtails in a gravy I’ve never seen before that turned out to be succulent as ever! Also ordered Jerked chicken with collard greens and mac&cheese. Also, outstanding. They have several types of pudding and bean cake available. We chose the Nutty Buddy Banana Pudding. Never had Nutty Buddy’s like that! Fantastic addition!!! They’re corn bread was a large square and surprisingly moist not too sweet! Love you guys! Thank you for a terrific lunch! Will be back when I’m up there again in the future! Sorry I didn’t get a picture of the Ox Tails.

I ordered through uber eats and I’m disappointed !!!! My Mac and cheese is extremely salty and taste like something out of a box my candy yams are trash not sweet just taste like sweet potatoes the chicken is sooo mediocre smfh nothing southern or tasty about any of it the only thing that was decent was the corn bread I’m beyond pissed the shrimp extremely oily smfh

Ordered delivery – food was great! Their fried shrimp’s seasoning was spot on and still crispy when I got them! The mac and cheese also had great seasoning and cheesy flavor.
