Love this place a constant date stop for my boyfriend and I! They have a lot of ramen options as well as other options. You pick your dish and pay at the front and choose a table. I’ve always gotten seated with no wait time. They also have amazing servers and prices! There’s not one dish I’ve gotten that I didn’t fall in love with. My only complaint is they don’t have a public bathroom.

Gross. I was in town for a conference and had a cold so I was craving some noodles and soup. I found this place online and reviews looked good. When I arrived, the restaurant was full of people. The restaurant was warm and steamy like it was poorly ventilated or the kitchen didn’t have proper ventilation. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen up front at the counter and found a seat by the window. The dining area was dirty and unappealing. The ramen came out quickly and looked unappetizing. The broth was more salt and water than a rich, flavorful tonkatsu. Noodles were okay. Other garnishes were unimpressive. I left without finishing my meal. I hail from the San Francisco Bay Area and I live in Bend. Idk if I’m just spoiled with great ramen restaurants or if my cold ruined this ramen experience for me, but I’d be hard pressed to return to this place. Perhaps the other menu items are what make this place popular but I couldn’t recommend my dish to anyone.

This is some of the best Japanese food I’ve ever had. Well made, fresh, large portions, and beautifully plated. Friendly staff and pleasant/relaxing atmosphere. Highly reccomend!

The ramen was simply ok, the chashu tasted and looked like chicken. The kaarage was certainly not kaarage and more similar to a chicken cutlet. The takoyaki was good.
My main issue was the restaurant itself… it was truly disgusting. I’m not sure if their air condition or temp control was broken but it was HUMID in there to the point that everything was sticky. Your hands, shoes, body, etc. I’ve been to many Asian bbq places and for whatever reason this ramen shop was by FAR the worst. I sadly cannot recommend this place and will not be going back.

This quaint lil restaurant is AMAZING.. They take the art of food to a whole new level! From the metal chopsticks that are cased in a wooden box to the paper lanterns and art that adorns this place you can clearly see they care about the restaurant and their customers. Have you ever tasted food sooo good you KNEW the heart and soul was put into it? This lil place has that. The food is freshly made.. and tastes amazing.. it will most definitely keep you coming back! Ordered the Yoza.. the sauces are fabulous.. The noodle bowl with extra cabbage..all noodles…sauces etc are made fresh in house never frozen nor prepared days in advance… the broth was out of this world.. they also have bubble tea… had blueberry.. DELICIOUS The restaurant was clean and tidy.. servers were friendly.. helpful and inviting… if your not sure what you want.. tell them.. they will help you find it… yes forks are available for the non compliant chopstick crew lol… there are deserts available.. if you have space left after eating their delicious foods.. relaxing atmosphere.. great for in-between studies if your a student looking for amazing food and a break.. a date night… or just to have lunch/dinner… Parking can be a pain but its soo worth it!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Check them out!

I have loved the authenticity of this place, and it is really good to see they are expanding and trying to hire more individuals than just the owners! The food was fresh and delicious! The miso soup is one of my favorites, and the food is tasty and memorable. I think the prices of the food are worth it, as it is more expensive to buy the ingredients and make it yourself at home. We will definitely be coming back!

While visiting Eugene, my daughter and I were craving ramen. We had heard about a few places, but the online photos of Tokyo Tonkatsu had me hooked—I had to try it!
The restaurant is located downtown, and parking was easier than expected. While it wasn’t as fancy as I had imagined, I was immediately greeted with kindness by a server working in the open kitchen. Behind the counter, it looked like a family was preparing the meals, adding to the cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
Ordering was simple, with a counter displaying pictures of each dish, and I appreciated that each item was numbered—helpful for those who may not be familiar with the pronunciations. After reading reviews beforehand, I had already decided between the King Ramen and the Katsu Ramen. I ultimately chose the King Ramen with a miso base, which came loaded with kimchi, karaage, chashu, a soft-boiled egg, special spicy sauce, corn butter, bean sprouts, menma, wakame, green beans, and green onions, all topped with their house chicken.
After placing my order, I took a number and found a seat. In just about five minutes, my meal arrived—WOW! The portion was huge. The chicken was crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. Every ingredient blended beautifully, making for an incredibly satisfying meal.
I only wish I could have finished all of it! Small mom-and-pop restaurants like this deserve our support, and if you’re looking for an amazing ramen spot in Eugene, this is a must-try.
Thank you, Tokyo Tonkatsu!

Food was very good and the Katsu was nice and crispy. The miso soup base was excellent and very garlic forward. Excellent spring salad with a very creamy sesame dressing. Eggs could have been a little more runny, but were delicious!

FOOD – amazing food. This restaurant offers authentic Japanese cuisine with a wide variety of options and generous portions. The spicy dishes are flavorful without being overwhelming, and the katsu features thick, crispy breading with tender chicken inside.
SERVICE – Service is impressively quick! The system is efficient—order at the counter, take a seat with your order number, and your food arrives promptly. Despite a full house, our meal was served in just 10 minutes.
AMBIENCE – The is cozy and have good seating available.
LOCATION – Conveniently located in downtown, has metered street parking right outside and a public parking garage nearby.

We’re visiting from Missouri and stopped by this gem today (hardcore craving some ramen).
They had a GREAT assortment and the server was excellent at giving recommendations. We landed on one of the spicy bowls, and the combo that comes with gyoza- adding an optional (but is it really?!) soft boiled egg.
10/10; highly recommend.
Might even visit again before our stay is over!
