What an amazing find! Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday around 11:30 am. What’s kindly greeted by the bar tender. PBR on draft! I really wanted to try one of the burgers but ordered the Number 7 as I overheard the cook and tender discussing it. Sounds great when you read the menu but I was beyond amazed when it came out. This thing is MASSIVE and full of flavor. It was delicious and will be very hard to not order again when I go back. The hospitality was on point. I can’t wait to return when I’m in the area again. We stopped in here last Saturday night while checking out local bars. It has all the feels of your friendly neighborhood dive bar. Quick service, comfy old bar atmosphere and fantastic burgers. Super thick well-seasoned patty with thick slightly chewy smoked bacon. YUM. Reminded me of Millers in Dearborn, without the drive. I docked a star due to the restroom. I’m okay with a restroom held together with various repairs in a place like this, but a squishy floor is a different matter.

Best Philly cheese steak I’ve ever had. Called “the number 7” on the menu. You will need the knife and fork. Quick service and quick to the table. Here for a work trip but if I’m back in town I’ll be eating here again

The Greystone is one of our favorite go to places, we frequent there for meals about 3 to 5 times a month. Staff is always helpful and kind, we love to see our lovely ladies smiling when we visit. Food is affordable, cooked to order and always comes out in a timely manner. My fiance loves their burgers even though he gets them with just meat and cheese. I love their chicken and cheese quesadilla which has bacon in it and comes with all the toppings on the side. On a date night we spend about $40 for food and at least a drink.

We stopped in on a Saturday, it was the first time we’d been there. They had a DJ who was playing some good jams, the old lady in the kitchen made us the best bar burgers and onion rings we’ve ever had, we got a couple tall Long Island iced teas to wash them down. Everyone in there was dancing and having a good time. Not once did we feel we were being rushed out of there. Excellent service and food, great prices, we will be back again for sure!

I recently visited Greystone Tavern in Jackson after hearing they were voted “Best Burgers.” Unfortunately, my experience didn’t reflect that. I ordered my burger deluxe, but it came smothered in so much mustard and ketchup — on both the top and bottom bun — that it fell apart immediately. The bun was soaked and barely edible, and the overwhelming amount of condiments completely ruined the flavor. It honestly made me gag afterward and gave me an instant stomach ache.
The highlight of the visit was the bartender who actually served us. I didn’t catch her name, but she was taller with dark hair and dark eyes and she was wonderful — attentive, friendly, and clearly experienced. Her service alone is the reason this isn’t a one-star review.
The atmosphere, however, was affected by the other bartender on shift (I believe her name was Hailey). She spent most of our visit either outside with customers or being very loud, yelling, cussing, and making a scene inside. I understand bars and taverns can be noisy, but her behavior was uncalled for and extremely unprofessional. At one point, I genuinely thought she might be drunk because of how she was carrying on.
Overall, the food and the environment didn’t match the “Best Burger” reputation. The bartender who served us was excellent, but the kitchen and overall professionalism missed the mark. I hope the consistency improves because the place has potential with the right balance of service and quality.

This is an old Jackson fixture bar. Full bar with darts, Keno and good TV placement for the big game. Classic lunch bar with an impressive menu. If you’re on the Northside, this is a must try.

Server was rude, distracted, very unprofessional, probably upset that she had to work a Sunday! Maybe bad hair day since her hair was in a hat, I don’t know but she was very unprofessional!
