What a great experience we had in Louie’s Pizza restaurant – it is a legend for a reason.
It is my first time to visit Rehoboth after a long drive, and choosing Louie’s Pizza to dine in and take a break, was a great decision ever.
The pizza is the star – a perfect New York-style slice with a thin, foldable crust that has just the right amount of chew. The sauce is yummy and the cheese is perfectly proportioned.
The vibe is exactly what you want from a beach-town pizzeria: casual, bustling, and full of character.
The service was fast and very friendly.
If you’re at the beach and craving an amazing, no-fuss pizza, Louie’s is the undisputed champion. Strongly recommended.

I just don’t understand the hype, or the high rating for that matter. Ordered a regular plain cheese slice last night on the boardwalk for $4.50 (yes $0.75 more per slice than Grotto’s) and I was the only one there. A wrong number was called out, no one came up, then my number shortly after… it was a few teenagers running the takeout section so… yeah.
As you can see from the photo, there is not a drop of tomato sauce on the entire slice; therefore, it tasted near flavorless. Got some garlic and grease in my mouth, then I had to walk across the street to Grotto’s and get their slice of cheese to satisfy my pizza craving. At least it was cheaper. Yep, $4.50 flushed down the toilet.
If you’re looking for a great NY-style cheese slice in Rehoboth you won’t find it on the Boardwalk. Maybe in a few years? This was my second visit, as the first time I tried a slice from Louie’s it was similarly bland. I wanted to give it a second chance due to the high rating (?) and because the place was very busy when I went back in June.
Louie’s is mediocre at best.

20MAY2025 The best service is what I experienced at Louie’s Pizza in Rehobeth Beach, DE. The pizza was the best as the crust, sauce, meat, and cheese where in superb harmony and sooth my taste buds and stomach I the most captivating way. I’ll be back when I’m in town. Love, love, love this spot.

The meatball sub at Louie’s Pizza is a flavor-packed delight. The soft bread perfectly complements the tender meatballs and exquisite sauce. This isn’t your ordinary meatball sub; the meat is thinly sliced, adding a unique touch. Don’t miss the opportunity to try their delectable fries as well. Trust me, leaving without a side of fries would be a regrettable decision.

Drove for almost three hours from Fairfax just to eat their cheese pizza. Totally worth the drive. Ordered two small cheese pizza and they’re gone within seconds. Totally loving it!

I ordered 2 pizzas, one plain and one with sweet peppers, onions and pepperoni. I go to pick up my order they just have a pepperoni pizza. Then they remake it, now it only has sweet peppers and onion. They messed up my pizza twice. Then instead of just fixing it right they just add the topping and rerun it through the oven and it was burnt. This isn’t the Louie’s I grew up with.

I heard a lot of people say this is the best pizza on board walk
If that’s true, the bar isn’t high.
The pizza isn’t bad, not nothing exciting

I have been coming to rehoboth with my husbands family for years now. We spent a decent amount of money on 2 large pizzas for pick up. The crust was paper thin and looked like it was a pre made crust. I am not sure if the crust is different when you order pick up but what a disappoint. The white pizza had barely any sauce and no tomatoes or pesto. Hoping if we decide to try again and dine in for lunch it tastes better.

We stopped by for a quick lunch. Pizza was obviously pretty good. I also recommend their grinders. Fries were also very good.
